On Oct. 13, I filled a response to a unsecured personal loan application.

Deb Wright called on Monday, Oct. 15 and said I was approved for my 150,000 loan. The sales pitch was that the lender would secure the loan with an insurance policy including, death benefit coverage, job loss, and disability to cover the payments.

The amount was 4744.00 for the policy. I sent the amount to Tara Smith in Detroit, mi. on the 19th. I was assured that the money would be in my bank account by noon Saturday, no later than 9:a.m. Monday. When the money was not there on Monday, I called and was informed that the lender wanted an additional 6000.00 to secure the loan. This is the 25th and I have not sent them anything else.

Deb Wright has called me twice saying that the lender is going to give the 150,000 to someone else that has the 10,500.00 if I don' have the money in by Friday.

DON'T buy it folks it's a scam. You can not change the terms of a signed ageement after 3 days.

THEY ARE CROOKS!!!!

The offer was illegal in the US

"The sales pitch was that the lender would secure the loan with an insurance policy including, death benefit coverage, job loss, and disability to cover the payments." Illegal. It is against the law in the US to require the payment of any security deposit, installment payments in advance or the purchase of some specific insurance policy as a condition for granting an insecure personal loan or for the purpose of getting a "prefered" rate of interest on the loan. Prior to the loan being approved, a lender is allowed to charge a modest administrative fee to cover the costs of processing the loan application - that's it. ANY TIME a lender demands any other payments up front before the loan is "approved" it is a SCAM and you should RUN AWAY. There is a wealth of information about this on various websites, both Federal and State. You can check with FDIC and your State's Banking Commission or other lending regulatory agency. Unfortunately, your chances or recovering you money is slim at best.

After doing research, to my shegrins, too late, duh, I found out by way of the U.S. Post Office, that 13001 Lincoln Ave. does not exist in the 10281 zip code. There is no address like that in all of new york city Sad to find out that caswell insurance is not licensed nor registered in the state of new york. Even sadder, caswell resources is not licensed, nor registered in the state of new york. At www.oag.state.ny.us you can down load a complaint form to the attorney general's office. LET'S get them
