DELL CORPERATION POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE & NO STRAIGHT ANSWERS. ITS ABOUT MASS PRODUCTION AND NO CONSUMER SERVICE Round Rock Texas
SO I RECENTLY PURCHASED A DELL 1535 STUDIO LAPTOP IN AUGUST 2008 AND WITHIN THE FIRST 24 HOURS STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE SOFTWARE. SO I CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE TO HAVE THEM HELP ME AND THEY ROUTED ME TO TECH SUPPORT WHICH IN TURN CREATED A WHOLE NEW SET OF ISSUES WITH MY LAPTOP. NOW AFTER HAVING IT FOR NOT EVEN 60 DAYS I AM TRYING TO FIGHT TO GET MY LAPTOP REPLACED.
I HAVE REPORTED THEM TO THE BBB AND DOCUMENTED EVERY THING THAT HAS HAPPEND SINCE I HAVE OWNED MY LAPTOP. I HAD TO CALL THEM 7 TIMES WITHIN THE LAST 30 DAYS TO HAVE ISSUES FIXED WITH MY LAPTOP AND IT WAS NOT UNTIL I SENT A REPORT TO THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU THAT THEY WANTED TO NOW HELP RESOLVE MY ISSUE. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER BEEN A DELL CUSTOMER AND IT WILL BE THE LAST.
ONCE I FINALLY GOT A HOLD OF A REPRESENITIVE THAT WANTED TO HELP ME AND GET A REPLACEMENT OUT TO ME, AFTER SENDING HER EMAILS AND ALL THE NOTES FROM MY SISTUATION I FINALLY RECEIVED MY REPLACEMENT ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS NOT THE REPLACEMENT I WAS PROMISED. IN FACT IT WAS LESS THEN THE ACTUAL COMPUTER PURCHASE I HAD ORIGINALY MADE AND IT ALSO HAD SOMETHING LOOSE ROLLING AROUND INSIDE OF THE COMPUTER ITSELF. I IMMIEDALITY CALLED THE REP. I HAD BEEN DEALING WITH AT DELL AND, SHE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT IT WAS A LIKE FOR LIKE COMPUTER REPLACEMENT. WHEN IN FACT THE COMPUTER PANEL FACE BOARD WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL COMPUTER I HAD PURCHASED. I SENT HER PHOTOS TO HELP HER SEE THE DIFFERENCE IN THE PANEL ITSLEF AND BEFORE I HAD A CHANCE TO TELL HER WHICH WAS THE ORIGINAL AND WHICH WAS THE REPLACEMENT SHE PROCEEDED TO TELL ME THAT IF I HAD GOTTEN A REFURBISHED COMPUTER THEN IT WOULD BE DIFFERENT THEN THE ORIGINAL COMPUTER PANEL.
I THEN STOPPED HER AND TOLD HER THAT THE REPLACEMENT WAS THE ONE THAT WAS DIFFERENT FROM THE ORIGINAL. SHE ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS A LIKE FOR LIKE AND THE CONFIGURATION WAS THE SAME AS THE ORIGINAL AND I ASKED HER HOW CAN THAT BE WHEN THE ORIGINAL COMPUTER I PURCHASED FROM DELL DIRECT WAS A 10028. AND THIS NEW ONE WAS ONLY 875. SHE SENT ME THIS EMAIL OF THE REPLACEMENT ORDER AND IT WAS CLEARLY DIFFERENT THEN THE ORIGINAL.
I AM SO FRUSTARTED WITH DELL AND HAVE NOTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE OR THEIR PRODUCTS. I WOULD SUGGEST IF YOU HAVE A DELL OR ANY PROBLEMS WITH YOUR DELL PRODUCT REPORT IT TO THE BBB AND MAKE THEM TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THERE DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS.
