I bought a DELL monitor through Amazon.com and (after hours on the phone with tech support and a dozen transfers between people who hardly speak english and hardly care about service) they refused to honor their warranty because I bought from a 3rd party, i.e. Amazon, (((REDACTED))). This monitor was purchased Aug. 08' it failed May 09'. It worked for less than a year, on their own support forum you can read about the many others that have dealt with this defective 22" 2208WFP monitor.
DELL corporate is disconnected from their customers because they don't care.
Forget about service and support from DELL if you buy from a 3rd party, but more than that they REFUSED to honor their OWN 3-year warranty for a defective monitor. I'm done with DELL, and with a quick Google search you too can see the kind of business they practice. I wish I did my homework before going to DELL.
