In July 2016, I placed an order for charger plates hire for a wedding on 3rd Dec 2016. This was fully paid via bank transfer to Deluxe Hire. A collection address was confirmed as Standby Self Storage - West Molesey, 4 Island Farm Ave, West Molesey KT8 2U (near hampton court), with a collection date of 1st Dec 2016 as per my invoice.

I contacted Blessing Taylor to confirm time of collection for the 1st Dec and she stated my collection date was 3rd Dec 2016 (how is this possible for self collection, when it is the date of my wedding). I got really confused and settled for a collection on the 2nd Dec 2016. Blessing confirmed to send the collection address via text message. From the 30th Nov, i had no response from her until 2nd Dec 2016 (00:41) with a different collection address of shurgard self-storage - 5 oriental road, london. E16 2BZ. I woke up in the morning to this address, which was different from the initial confirmed address. For a self-collection, this surely changes your plan (as my plans were around the collection address near hampton court). Then, I started to suspect the company isn't a serious company.

In summary, my brother communicated with Blessing to collect the items on my behalf from E16, but the company exercises no flexibility when you are running 7mins behind a 3:30pm schedule. Instead, Blessing confirmed to my brother that she will send the items via a taxi to his address, which did not happen. having waited for the items, I contacted Blessing by 7pm and she apologised and confirmed she will still deliver the items and requested for the details of the hotel I will be Lodging into (a night before my wedding) that she will bring the items to the hotel, yet again, this did not happen.

I was very distressed and the next day (on my wedding day, 3rd Dec 2016), I contacted Blessing Taylor on the morning of my wedding day and she confirmed I can't have my items as no one was available in London to provide me with the items and she confirmed she will provide me with a full refund (£385.84 including £100 damage deposit). I was absolutely heartbroken and pleaded so much as the charger plates were needed for the wedding, but to no avail.

Blessing requested I send my bank details via email and she will make a full refund. Till date, I have contacted the company via telephone/emails/text messages repeatedly and have had no success (initially I thought it was due to the xmas holiday). Finally, on the 12th January 2017, I got hold of Blessing on the phone and as I started introducing myself on the phone, she recognised me and 'HUNG-UP' immediately. This brought the conclusion that Blessing Taylor has no intentions of refunding my money! This company is HIGHLY FRUDULENT. They collect your money, don't deliver and don't refund (including the damage deposit)

They are not a reputable company, they do not have a steady location or company warehouse, and they migrate from one storage centre to the other, making it difficult for customers to track them.

Only after my experience, did I Google the company and to no surprise Deluxe Hire is a company popularly known for its fraudulent activities to customers.. They are on BBC Watch Dog (link below)  http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/articles/53kVp9MDS54wHYGxh2r8y2x/rogue-traders-deluxe-hire

PLEASE DONT FALL A VICTIM!! There are a handful of good reviews on deluxe hire website (3 reviews in total).. This is all SCAM, as there isn't a review section on the website where all customers can make their genuine and open reviews.

Only if I had done a little research about the company before-hand, I wouldn't be a victim now.

I would go any mile to get my Full Refund. It is obvious the company has unlimitedly dealt with this type of issue. It's high time consumers put a stop to this Fraudulent Company. The company shouldn't be allowed to operate in the UK, they should not be trading and I would use my profession and every means possible to ensure this happens.
