Beware of Deluxe Hire, we ordered various items including glasses from them for my daughters wedding costing £500. On the day nothing at all was delivered even though it was paid for in full three months before , we were not contacted by them at all. When I contacted them they couldn't have cared less! no explanation or apology! I have written, rang and emailed and five weeks later despite being told we would get a refund still havn't received a penny. Judging by the comments I have read on this site it looks like it may be a long battle. I understand though if you have tried to get a refund and they refuse to give it if you have paid by card debit or credit you can ask your bank to intervene and they can recall the payment made to them? not certain but worth a try.
Deluxe Hire have no qualms about taking your money..ruining your wedding day or function, in fact I really believe that they dont exisit at all except in someones sitting room!! I hate the thought of another bride being as disapointed as my daughter was and who is now left out of pocket and having to worry about all of this! PLEASE DONT ORDER FROM THEM!!

In response to this authors question, Is that so! My response is, Yes it is so.
In regard to the mentioned Individual voluntary arrangement (IVA), it is a formal agreement to repay creditors at an amount one can afford - it is not a bad thing to seek to repay debt. It is debt that arose out of our inability to process customers repayments on time, (after orders were DELIVERED AND RETURNED) due to circumstances beyond our control. IT IS CERTAINLY NOT BECAUSE WE SET UP BUSINESS TO SCAM ANYONE, that is not who we are as a business. We have a massive warehouse full of high quality and bespoke products so there's absolutely no reason to disappoint anyone.
From my understanding, less than 4 people attended the IVA meeting, and it's a blatant lie to suggest there were hundreds of creditors. However, a few months later we were thankful that it didn't go through as we found ourselves in good financial position to be able to repay our debt. So we contacted our creditors and those that responded were settled.
And despite all the false, malicious scam reports about us including that of BBC Matthew Allwright's mostly Allwrong Rogue Trader report, we remained strong, worked hard and paid our debt. In a tough and challenging business environment with hundreds of companies and individuals struggling to survive, it is truly remarkable how we've survived and eventually paid our debt! As of today, I can proudly say that most of our CCJs are satisfied and we remain committed to obliterating the rest as they arise. The same commitment as stated in the Customer Information page of our website www.deluxehire.co.uk.
In regard to trying to re-start our business as you mentioned? We never stopped trading! From day one, our business has grown organically through word of mouth and the excellent hire service we provide to private event organisers, weddings, conferences, and film production companies, etc. DeluxeHire is now reputed to be the destination for discerning clients who seek deluxe and bespoke products for their events - that is the kind of business we wish to concentrate on, not on customers who write scam reports and threatened us with "court battle" over sums of less than £49.00 when they're clearly in the wrong. It's good to do business but some are simply not worth the trouble, and that is why we now have a minimum order of £120.00.
Finally, you have chosen to air your views on this website which is fine. To prove that your report is not another malicious fake report, then am sure you wouldn't have any problem revealing your identify and providing supporting documentation to prove your case - It's only fair. We have identified formal customers who have sought to destroy our reputation by filing malicious complaints and rebutted their claims. We even had to threaten legal action before some reports were updated which is astonishing really.

Is that so,
In August 2013 my daughters wedding was almost ruined by Deluxe Hire, although the order was placed and paid for months in advance and confirmed nearer the date not one thing including glasses , chimeneras and other things did not appear on the day, nor were we contacted to let us know.
When I contacted Delux Hire after the wedding I was met with lies, lies and more lies! many offers and arrangements were made to repay the money but it didnt materialise.
When I googled Deluxe Hire I found a TV report from Watchdog with an intervive with Ms Blessings Chyze Taylor which made it quite obvious that we were not the only people who had been ripped off!
At the meeting held on the 25th July 2014 the debtors (Deluxe Hire) proposal for an Individual Voluntary Arrangement was rejected by their creditors( of which my daughter is one) which meant all of the creditors of which there are hundreds including many ,many people who had been let down at their weddings and partys, received nothing!
If Delux Hire are trying to re-start their company and if its as succesfull as they say then perhaps they would like to repay all of the creditors listed at the above mentioned meeting . Im sure they would be very grateful!

DeluxeHire provides services for private and corporate clients, photographers, hotels, production and television companies across the UK. We successfully deliver hundreds of orders to various events every year. Clients who seek high-end deluxe products to create unique, memorable and successful events come to us. Our customer base is strong. We stock over 2000 products from major suppliers in the hospitality and events industry. And those are some of the reasons why we remain in business today despite all the many challenges the business has faced.
Additionally, in 2013, we took the extraordinary step of instating a minimum order value of £120.00 including vat, simply because our business was overwhelmed with demand - that shows confidence.
The nature of catering and event equipment hire is inherently complex (it just is!) In the industry, 95% of customers orders return with losses, damages or breakages. We're talking about goods such as glassware, cutlery, crockery etc. It is not inconceivable that glassware or crockery might break or some cutlery ending up in bins, etc. At DeluxeHire, it is rear that we cancel an order but occasionally it happens, when a customer fails to return their complete order. When that happens, we take responsibility and work closely with the customer - should they wish - to find a solution. Our close links with other hire companies ensure that there is absolutely no reason to disappoint anyone.

We also ordered in May for our wedding in August. Paid in full by bank transfer.
We were sold a very similar story to you with regard to the hire goods. I allowed the 28 days to expire and now I am calling constantly to get my money back. They owe me £231.24 (and then some).
I called them this afternoon (after the promised phone call didn't materialise) and she seemed to have me confused with someone else, perhaps it is you?
She says I will have the money by Monday.....we shall see. I am going to begin legal procedings in any case. I have told them this.
I wish you luck! x
