"Officer Dniel Parker", who had a very thick foreign accent, left a voicemail stating that I needed to call about a pending case, and that if I didn't have an attorney, I should retain one. Those were his words, which made it sound legitimate.
He left a number to call, which I noticed it was a Burbank, California phone number. He was very persuasive by telling me not to ignore this call.
I called back the next day, 9/11/14, and did not speak to anyone direclty, but the answering recording mentioned "The Department of Legal Affairs". it recommended to leave a message. I humg up the first 2 times, and left a message on the 3rd call, but did not leave my phone number. I figured that if this was legitimate, Officer Parker would have my information.
This is when I started research on the internet and discovered that this was a scam. Thanks for the informaitno, I'm glad that I didnt' spend all day worried about it.
