Basically Derek told me that I would be able to rent a house for 6 months free rent and would just have to fill out a one page application, a copy of my drivers license and one time fee of $500 and would be able to give listings of houses that are on foreclosure and would go house shopping.

So I did the one page application with a $500 and a copy of my drivers license and gave me listings of houses. But little did I know that we would be looking at houses that were not yet vacated and listing with no phone numbers on houses that were empty and we had to text him the information then who knows what he would do to get some information on the empty houses. I found atleast 4 houses that were empty but, had to wait for information back from Derek and I was desperately searching due to being out of my apartment with in the next 4 days and after all this texting and making phone calls to Derek was just playing phone tags.

One house he gave me a phone number and called the owner and was not even aware of Derek and had no idea what I was talking about, and another house he gave me just an address of the owner and had to drive all the way out to the address he gave but, there was nobody there so I left a note of my contact information and did not get a phone call at all.

Finally the third day in desperate I told Derek that I needed something quick and told me he had contact with an owner that lives in California and is willing to rent his house and is faxing the leasing papers to him but, the key is in California with him but, you could get a locksmith to open the doors and start moving in. WHAT? Now this just did not feel right to me so I had to think of a quick back up and started searching for another apartment and in the mean time I specifically told Derek that I wanted my refund of my $500 back and told me that he was out and that as soon as he gets back home he would give me a call to let me know he was back home so I waited all evening for a phone call.

I made my first call to his cell phone and was not answering and I also have a home phone number that I called also, his daughter answered and stated that he just left and did not know when he was going to return. I called several more times on his cell phone and recorded the phone calls I left him stating I want my refund back. Never heard from all night long. Made one more phone call to him the next morning which was the 4th day and left another message for him and I even text message him also at the end of the day due to moving into the apartment that I was able to get into the last minute.

Well Low and behold Monday morning I get to work and call him from my work phone and he anwers the phone and is literally shock that it was me calling and told me that I have only 3 days to get my refund back and I told him I verbally told him on the phone, text message, and left a voicemail stating that I want my refund back on the third day and that he would call me when he got back in that evening and I never heard from him.

Please do get this person because he is ripping people off...

Wow, one common theme to the complainers is that unfortunately they seem to come into this arrangement with a lot of baggage already and want all their problems solved. We cant solve their pre-existing problems, but we can help get them very affordable housing if they do their part. Janice had four houses she could have moved into but didn't. We offered her money back if she simply followed the refund instructions on our very confusing half page contract (lol). We even worked the weekend on her behalf. She failed to do her part to get a house or to claim her refund. Our contract is a half a page long and ten point type so it is very simple to read and understand. All Janice had to do to get a refund was return the contract signed under the 'I cancel this contract' portion and return the lists and paperwork we had given her. She didn't do it.
