First of all dhl have 3 types of service. It is call dhl express, second day service, ground service and @home shipment. Based on your entry it seemed like you your service is call @home shipment. What that means is outpost.com have contracted a shipping service w/dhl and the post office. DHL is contracted to pick this package up from the shipper and they are require to deliver it to the post office. once the post office do recieve the package from dhl, the usps is require to deliver it to the customer within 1 or 2 business day. Once the usps do have the your package, you can track down the package using your dhl tracking number and putting the letter "H" in front of it. Also for dhl, if they do not deliver on time they would refund the shipper the shipping money back if you request for it. But once dhl do refund the money back to the shipper, the customer would have to deal directly with the shipper (outpost.com) because outpost.com used their dhl account to paid dhl for the shipping and the customer did not pay dhl directly. So for a refund back on your shipping it will be a dispute for the customer and the company who they paid the shipping to. Back to @home shipment, once Dhl gives the package to the usps, they cannot do anything about it b/c the package is no longer in their possesion, also to return the package, you can always call dhl and have it return to dhl w/no problem even though it is @home shipment. Next time when you order things online, make sure you pay attention to what type of service you are choosing to get your item ship, not just because it says free shipping.
