I purchased Direcway system in 3-2004 for my home medical transcription business. I was quoted speeds that I never achieved.

I spent months on the phone with these people. I got so tired of hearing, "Is you modem plugged in" in a language barely discernable.

I paid $600 for the system and $60 a month for it. Everytime my system failed I would call and they would run me through multiple troubleshooting exercises and never resolved the issues.

I was even advised by their tech support people that my computer had a virus and that my McAfee protection was not sufficient to pick up the virus and to purchase Norton's, which I did.

When I called back, I was put on hold so many times and transferred and given credit for a few weeks service. I spent nearly six months of my life before I just gave up.

I literally felt like blowing someone's head off due to this profound stress. My area finally acquired DSL and without hesitation I signed up. Direcway held me fast to my contract agreement for another 9 months. After I continued paying for a service I was not using and successfully using my DSL, I realized how I had totally been ripped off from day one.

I will never purchase another product by the Direcway company or the Hughes network. I even wrote letter to many individuals as Direcway and Hughes Corporation and never received response.

Like others of you, I have a useless piece of junk in my yard that fuels my fire everytime I have to mow around it.
