In April, 2017 Discount Drain was originally sent out due to a leak we reported to Home Warranty. Discount Drain came to the house and inspected the leak and stated the pipe had a belly and needed to be repaired and the home warranty did not cover this. At the same time, employees of Discount Drain stated we had water damage and proceeded to cut holes in the walls in the hallway and bathroom along with removing carpet and tile. They also placed big fans in the house for two days and then returned to pick up the fans not mentioning the holes in the walls.
Once the outside pipes (belly) was repaired, the chase began. My mother called Benjamin Wilkinson, Vice President, Anthony Burleson, Plumber and the office several times and left several messages to the point where her calls began to be unanswered with no space for messages. The proceeded for approximately 6 months at which time we sent an email through the company website to which Mr. Wilkinson responded with a phone call and a promise to get someone out to perform repairs. The person which came stated he was sent to do the repairs to the walls and floors. We explained the original problem was a leak and what about that. He stated with the leak still present it was not wise to perform the repairs. He also stated he would report this to Discount Drain.
We heard nothing from Discount Drain and began to trying to contact them again. At this point our calls went unanswered, messages were not returned and no contact was made with Discount Drain for several months. Upon finally reaching Discount Drain, Mr. Wilkinson came out with another plumber came out and looked at the look. At this time, they told us there was mold in the bathroom and it needed to be removed. So fast forward, we had a mold removal company to come perform a mold inspection throughout the bathroom, hallway, and bedrooms. The mold inspection revealed a small amount of mold and the inspector instructed us on how to remove the mold. We removed the mold and began to reach out to Discount Drain again. We left several messages and they made promises to get someone out.
At this point and time, the original leak has not been repaired along living with holes in our walls and bare floors and it has been over 1 year going on 2. We feel Discount Drain is trying to get out of perform the original repair as well as repairing the damage they performed. My mother is 81 years of age and I feel Discount Drain is trying to get over on her due to her age. We do not know exactly what to do or who to report this too but it is obvious trying to work with Discount Drain and get them to perform the work requested and correct the mess they made is not going to work. We need some help in getting the repairs made. Any assistance in this matter would be very much appreciated.
