I turned to this company in a bad time looking for help like many people do. I went through the intial interview, I was told I qualifed for a loan modification. I sent them the paper work I thought they needed then I didn't hear from them for 3 days. After a number of phones calls that I made that were never returned, my husband and I decided to cancel our service. At the beginning of all of this my husband was assured that at any time we wanted to we could cancel and get our money back, by John Common hisself.
They gave us the run around for several days, John Common cussed my husband and hung up on him. A few minutes later we were called back and told to fax a cancellation letter to them and we would receive our money back. We did just that in June and here it September with no refund. We contacted the State of Arizona who filed a complaint then when the asked for DMR's side of what happened it was full of lies.
If the person who is doing this is a former employee who is trying to get back at John Common, more power to you. I think it is really funny that you say that you were trained and have trained other people to do exactly what was done to me.
John Common wasn't even man enough to talk to me on the phone and explain why he didn't do what he said he would do and refund my money. If you read this I hope your happy with the fact that people turn to for help and you screw them. In my case you took money away from my 4 children. I also know that the same thing happened to my sister in law and her mother in law.
I am a big believer in charma and when this comes back around to you, its going to hurt.

I work in the Customer Service Department at Mortgage Relief, LLC. I work 6 days a week, sitting in a cubicle, answering phones in an office I share with other customer service representatives, along with the negotiators in the processing department. I listen to processors on the phone negotiating with lenders, 5 days a week. (I am here on Saturdays as well, but the processing department is only here for the standard bank work week.) It's unfortunate that the angry/disgruntled (former) clients of our company are the only ones posting testimonials on websites like this. The reality is: WE NEGOTIATE MORTGAGE MODIFICATIONS EVERY DAY. We also regularly issue refunds to ELIGIBLE clients NOT IN BREACH OF CONTRACT. The employees of this company have children too. These mothers and fathers come to work (sometimes EVERY day of the week) to support their families by providing a legitimate service for people in (sometimes DESPERATE) need of financial help.

My name is Derek Minkner, I worked for John Common for his frauding company- Discount Mortgage Relief. And I can well say I was the only non-criminally charged individual in the room.
I posted a rebuttal above earlier about how John Common scams people, its true. Then he verbally threatened me on the phone and have the conversation recorded, as well as the conversation recorded when I went in to get my last paycheck- which they screwed me over as usual with every check. Summing it up John threatened me cussing, yelling and saying he will sue my f**king a*s and throw me in jail if i dont write a good response about his company, i have it all recorded john.
Everytime i called to speak to john the associates hang up and when u call back - no answer. John and another supervisor trained us to ignore the customers coming back for cancelations etc. They basically sweet talk the customers during the call and when the call is over they run their mouth about how stupid and dumb the customers are. John i recorded several phone calls with you and other customers-thats why you have a seperate line instead of one big one.
Do not go for this company, they are criminals, liars, cheaters, and total bullshitters to make themselves money, go to Alpine Settlement Group. Better company- and will make sure your comfortable and if you need to cancel go right ahead and they will not avoid your calls like discount mortgage relief does. (transerring calls back and forth tothe people who want to cancel.) i have that on video to john.)
John recently pressed a harrassment charge on an individual for freedom of speech and screwed him over about $3000 who was his ex employee. Freedom of speech john, say what you want to defend you company but i promise you your company will be shut down by the end of next month.. I have a list and emails printed from several clients who want cancelations and have all their stories john. Grow a pair of balls john and give these hard working individuals their money back instead of pissing around the bush, i gurantee you are going to piss off the wrong person who will really do something bad to you. Especially in todays society.
I feel for your time loss and the drama, heartache this man has done to you and your husband. Please feel free to give me more information about the conversation to make things right and get everyones money back.
Grow up john, your company will be shut down soon so better getmoving. i have the paperwork in process.
