Dish Network claims to be a company that cares about their employees and about their customers when in reality they are very crafty in the way the present themselves, at first they are a good company to work for, they teach us to read scripts without reading them and to help the customers in fact we do not help the customer we find a way to help them and help us even more. They claim to be supportive of their employees untill one has been in the hospital, once even taken out with a 104 degree temp and taken by squad. When I came back it was granted as a Unpaid day off however in the end When the 4 day hospital stay came it was considered to be absenteeism and was terminated from employment. Listen very carefully to everything they say if you ask them to slow down you will be surprised at what you hear in their "SCRIPTS" enjoy a horrible company to work for and a horrible unreliable service. Hope you dont get charged 99.00 for a service call.
Did you bother filing an FMLA claim after the hospital stay? If you did this they cannot terminate you.
If you didn't fill out the proper federal paperwork, then that's your mistake. It is absenteeism, you had a solution: FMLA. Its a simple stack of paperwork to fill out and have your doctor sign that would have saved your job.
