I signed up with Dish Network at the end of March and when the installer guy came out to install the recievers he said one of them were bad and called the company and told them about it and read them off the serial number and they said to exchange it.

Well he did and everything was fine until I got the bill. They were charging us for the receiver that didn't work and the installer took with him! I called Dish and they said they didn't show that it was returned and they have to wait til it is returned before they can take the charges off of my bill.

I'm 21 years old going to college and I live with my grandparents and i've been helping them remodel thier new house so I haven't been working. Well my grandparents wanted me to get my credit started so they told me to sign up for Dish Network and they were going to pay the bill to get my Credit established. So I did. Well I NEVER gave them permission to do any Automatic Withdraws from my account. The bill was NOT to be paid out of my account it was to be paid with my grandmothers account.

I recieved an overdraft statement in the mail in May. I didn't understand it because I haven't used my account in over a month. It was Dish Network one payment for $12.37, one payment for $2.00, and also another payment for $2.00 and since I didn't keep that much in the bank I was overdrafted and charged $32.00 for the overdraft fee. Naturally I called Dish Network and they said it was for that reciever that I DO NOT have and they couldn't refund me any money because they still haven't recieved the reciever in the mail and if they did they would refund my money. So I decided to wait it out. I did call my bank about them charging my account without permission so they were informed.

June 28th Overdraft statement in the mail again. This time it was one payment for $90.82, Another payment of $90.81, Another for $2.00, and dont forget the $32.00 overdraft fee. I was PISSED! Nothing was supose to be billed to this account and we paid the monthly bill. I called the 800 number several times, everytime I call that number I got told the same thing about they don't know where the reciever was. I spoke with several supervisors that were no better with the situation either. I asked to speak to the head office and at first they kept telling me that they did not have one. It says on the bill they are out of Littleton, CO and that's what I explained. I finally searched the internet for the phone number and got a hold of a lady named Cambria. She was really nice and listened to my story and had me get a statement from my bank faxed to her and she would refund my account. Well it ended up being that I was $264 in the hole with my bank. I did get a deposit into my account for $200 but that still don't cover it all and that was on July 5th.

Since then I have tried to reach Cambria to discuss the other $64 but everytime I call it gives me her voice mail and says it is too full to take anymore messages. So it is now August 14th and i still cannot reach anyone. I am also still getting charged for that reciever on my account. I have refused payment to them until this is straightened out. My bank is notified and will not let them take out payment now. So in the end I will probably be out the $64 plus whatever they try to charge me for early dissconnection because I will NOT pay them anything until I am a satisfied consumer.

My grandparents had them before and thier bill was supose to be one price every month and it was something different every month and kept going up.

I'm really dissatisfied with this company and I think they need to treat people better. Specially since a lot of customers can only get satelite because cable is not available to them. So we will probably be without television because they would rather rip people off!
