Dish Network rip-off Littleton Colorado
I purchased a new receiver from a local Oregon retailer in late November 2002. The receiver was defective and would not work out of the box. I was promised a new replacement receiver but was sent a rebuilt one (which I immediately returned to the local retailer). About two months later, I finally got a new receiver but there were problems with the LNB for it. On 2/25/2003 I finally got dependable service.
Dish Network is now telling me that I will must pay for service during the period in which I did not get it. I have spoken to so many people that I finally realized that everyone is either stupid, incompetent or both.
I am in the process of writing a leter to Charlie Ergen, the CEO, but don't think it will do any good.
