Dish has, without any authority, taken over $350 out of my bank account. I had just signed up for Dish when Fox Channels were removed from its lineup. I called them many times and they could not tell me if or when Fox Channels would be back so I canceled. I was told that I would not have to pay an early termination fee. I guess that was until they decided to steal it. I had no notice whatsoever. Please contact me if there will be or is any class action in Michigan re Dish's unfair business practices.

The conent of your response is just plain untrue. I knew exactly what I had signed which is why I spoke to your company about canceling my service. There were extenuating circumstances. And yes, it does matter what I am told, perhaps not legally, but ethically, which of course, Dish obviously cares nothing about. Your response was unprofessional, argumentative, unsuccessful and useless.
My ignorance? How about this, for over $350 you lost what could have been a good customer and although I canceled, perhaps at a later date I would have signed up again and Dish would make far more than $350 from me and many friends that I would have referred to Dish, at the least over $10,000.
So now, I make certain I let everyone I know what kind of company you really are and your response to my email is perfect example. I am hoping and believe in the near future lawyers will file a class action against Dish for unfair business practices.
At some point, the portion of the agreement that allows Dish to remove money from their customers' bank accounts, regardless of who signed what, will be found unacceptable, especially without billing the customer and advising that the money will be taken.
I've said all I have to say and won't be responding further to any of your and inept comments.

It doesn't matter what YOU say you were told. The ONLY thing that matters is the CONTRACT you signed. THAT is the ONLY thing YOU have to worry about. They DID NOT "embezzle" money from YOU. When YOU signed the CONTRACT YOU agreed that THEY could take from whichever card YOU had on file ANY monies owed when YOU cancel YOUR service. If YOU did not complete your 2 year warranty then YOU are in breech of contract. DISH has no control over the games FOX plays with the cable providers. So due to YOUR inability to watch a channel YOU cancelled YOUR contract. Meaning YOU are responsible for the ETF. Or early termination fee. THAT is on YOU and NOT them. YOU CHOSE to break your contract, YOU must now pay the costs of breaking that contract. What this tells everyone is that YOU DID NOT READ WHAT YOU WERE SIGNING!!! Had you done so YOU would have seen this all for yourself. YOU seem to think that the rules of contracts DO NOT apply to you. The reality is that YOU are NOT a victim of dish but a victim of your own ignorance and choices. YOU really only have yourself to blame in all of this. Cable channel disputes between the providers and the stations themselves are NORMALLY resolved in a week or two. YOU could have just waited BUT YOU CHOSE TO CANCEL!!! Suck it up buttercup, YOU did this to yourself. THEY are ONLY doing what YOU AGREED TO!!!!!
