I called this crazy company out to fix my door, and they said it was a free estimate.....when they arrived at my home, they were scary people that looked like they just got out of prison. I am over 80 years old and I am a tiny old lady. The 2 thug like people from Door-Mart garage doors started intimidating me and forcing me to pay them a service charge when they didnt even fix anything, they only told me that my whole motor must be repaired and my springs were bad too and wanted to charge me $2,800.00. I was shocked to hear that so I called my son and he called another door company and told them over the phone what I needed and the other company said it was at most $400.00 for the same exact thing. The Door-Mart company started yelling at me and treatened me that if I didnt pay the min. of $350.00 to come to my house that they were going to hurt me. I only called them because it said FREE estimates in their advertising in the phone books. I have also come to find out that they are from the Sacramento area and claim to be a local company, and I only do business with my local companies. They also go under alot of bogus names too, so everyone who deals with them should BEWARE, and call the Contractors State License Board and report to them that they are being very deceptive and fooling the public into believing they are not the same company. I want to warn everyone not to use this company ever. They are Scam Artist and Im afraid for our community with this going on. We should all group together and file complaints against Door-Mart Garage Doors, located in the Sacramento area but doing business all over the state.

I worked for this scam company and they always tried to get us to upsell everything even if the customer did not need it. I felt really uncomfortable working there but I needed a job. The owner fired a person who was pregnant just before christmas and laughed about it just to let you know what type of person this is who owns the company. Rumors were floating around that he even screwed his own family members and has been sued several times. This company is a total scam. Know one who works their even has experience with garage doors. They hire anyone because they need to because they dont know what they are doing. We had more complaints on a daily basis then you can believe. Try googling them and call the CSLB Contractors State License Board. They called constintly with complaints. This company is very evasive as well they use several different names, here are a few, Go Pro Garage Doors, Local Garage Doors, Service Pro, Value Max Garage Doors, and there are several more. Just remember who you called out of the phone book or internet add and make sure it matches the invoice or if you call them back or complain about anything to the CSLB you wont be able to find them. They also use all computer generated phone lines so they can not be disconnected only by them. Dont be the next victom. Do your homework before you hire this nightmare company

First of all I am the son of the 80 year old who was in fact threatened by this company. 2nd of all they claim they do back round checks on their employees and people love them with joy. Aren’t they contradicting themselves when they claim it was written by a disgruntled ex employee. I wonder why he was disgruntled? All anyone has to do is call the contractor state license board in Sacramento and inquire about them. They are well known their for all their scams they commit against consumers who have complained in the past.
When you call them please ask them how Pete Martin or Pam Martin obtained the experience or qualifications to even get a license in the first place. They pose as multiple companies as well. Here are a few of them. Door Mart garage doors. Service Pro, Local garage doors, Value Max, Go Pro garage doors, I’m sure they go under more names too. Didn’t their rebuttal say they were proud of who they were? I wonder why they hide behind so many names. Good luck if you ever run into this so called company. Beware beware beware

To all whom just read the bogus "rip off" report against Door-Mart, let me start by saying that this post was written and submitted by a disgruntled ex-employee, who unfortunately has nothing better to do than waste his time trying to taint the image of a good company.

In regards to the accusation submitted, please observe the theatrics in the text.......this was not submitted by someone over the age of 80. Another point to be made: although I love our senior citizens, how many 80 year old individuals do you know with enough computer knowledge to find this site, sign up as a user, and submit a post of this magnitude???
