Things went downhill with Dorinna Hirsch when I again requested a face-to-face meeting with her so we could proceed on my case.  She sent an email to me, a copy is attached, stating that I was not honest about the KBB price on my freestyle, that I needed to check exactly who I lived with in my house because I had too many people living here and was I telling the truth. I forwarded a copy of the KBB price on my vehicle showing how I got the amount.  I sent paperwork to her w/ proof of exactly who lived with me, which are my two children & my sister & her two disabled children whom I help.  She got upset because I did not send a full bank statement.  She had told me over the phone to send the portion of my bank statement that showed my account balance, which I did.  She then got upset and stated she needed the entire statement. I told her if we could meet, and I could bring the paperwork into her, I would have a better, more clear idea of what it was she needed. Again, she refused to meet with me.  She stated it was I who was holding up the case, that I did not want to proceed, that I did not tell her how I wanted to proceed. In an email I told her that is why someone  hires an attorney so the attorney can tell them how to proceed. I don't know how to proceed. That is why I hired an attorney.  I told her it's ludicrous to think I did not want my case to go forward. I have been fighting for my case to move along.  I wanted my divorce finalized and I've been willing to work on a marriage settlement all along.  She then stated that she did not want to represent me any longer. Then she sent another email stating she did want to represent me and that I needed to get some information to her.  She kept going back-and-forth and was wishy-washy. I have all the emails attached to this document.

At this point, I knew that the timeline and the due date for filing my DOD was coming up. Miss Yurman informed me that she was going to be out of town for a while. Because I had lost all faith in the Hirsch  and Yurman law firm to handle my case at all, I filled out and filed the DOD myself  and served it on opposing counsel per Judge Amador's  instruction.

I then informed her Hirsch and Yurman that I did not want them as my attorney of record. They would not send a substitution of attorney to me and proceeded to hold my case hostage.  I could not proceed. Also, opposing counsel could not get them to respond to his phone calls or his emails.  In a desperate attempt to get this case moving, I filled out and filed a marriage settlement agreement and served it on opposing counsel.  Opposing counsel was kind enough to let my soon-to-be ex-husband know that he could not read the paperwork until I fired my attorney, but when I did fire her, that he would be happy to work with us on a marriage settlement agreement.
