On December 24, 2013, my domestic partner was at the Dotty's casino on Las Vegas Blvd. and Craig Road. He had been in a motorcycle crash and in a wheel chair. He and I were both frequent patrons at the establishment (speding $1000's of dollars there over the course of the year) so he went inside out of the cold to wait for his ride to pick him up for work. When he ran out of money, sitting there quietly, the barmaid, a woman named Madeline (who is the slowest and rudest server they employ) told him he had to get out. He did not do anything to anyone and was not even sitting at the machines. He told her he was waiting on his ride and she told him he had to leave right then and proceeded to hold the door open so he could push himself out in his wheelchair. He was outraged and we both contacted their customer complaint voicemail number to report the incident.

Weeks and months went by with absolutely no response from Dotty's. We avoided interaction with the inept employee by going there only at night. I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau because we never received an acknowledgement of the calls we put in asking them to address this issue. Their response to the BBB was that surveillence footage does not verify claim, or something. The BBB closed the case.

Then, 2 months later, we went to Dotty's to cash our free play coupons they sent to us in the mail (as a reward for wasting all of our money there every month) and were told that we were 86-ed from all locations. The clerk offered no explanation as to why and refused to cash our coupons. Mine was for $16.00 and I count that as my cigarette money each week. We were told that if we came back, the police were going to be called. We did nothing wrong!

I called the voicemail line, again, to ask that they correct this obvious error (as we are excellent patrons), and again I received no response. I did, however, have a voicemail from a Blocked Number from an unknown male stating that I was 86-ed from Dotty's for making false reports and that the police will trespass me if I am on the property. He left no name, no phone number, and no appeals process of this ridiculous action. I attempted to file another BBB claim based on retaliation for making a (true) report, but have not heard a thing back from them now either. I liked going to Dotty's to buy cigarettes, get a drink, and play the machines. The other options in my neighborhood are terrible.

I suppose the lesson is: Don't complain about discrimination against the disabled on Christmas Eve at Dotty's #6 because 2 months down the road they will refuse to cash your free play, 86 you from all of their establishments, and threaten to call the police on you for submitting a complaint previously closed by the BBB.

When are consumers such as you and your domestic partner going to learn that YOU are not self entitled. It wouldnt matter WHY your partner was kicked out. They were not playing, they were just sitting around. The business HAS THE RIGHT to ask them to leave. Its not discrimination against the handicapped, its that your partner was NOT playing or drinking that means they are NOT a customer and are taking up space best used for those patrons currently PAYING.

Then you compound the issue by fileing a FALSE report. Ok we get it, your partner was upset that they were asked to leave. You know since they werent playing or drinking or availing themselves of ANY of the services that Dottys offers. They were asked to leave because it is a business and NOT a charity. In the state of Nevada there is a little law called the "shopkeep law". They have the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. This also means that if you are not a customer you can be asked to leave. Because at THAT point your partner would be loitering.

Then you have the nerve to get upset when Dottys doesnt want you as a customer. How does that work exactly?? Your partner was asked to leave and they held the door open so that they could. YOU are the ones that filed a false report. How can you be shocked after the fact?? You did this to YOURSELVES!!! Why would you expect them to take what amounts to harrasment from you WITHOUT retaliation?? What happend to your partner was not even worthy of a BBB report. YOU FILED THIS OUT OF SPITE!! And when you go in they tell you Goodbye but you have proven you cant be a good customer and file false reports, you get mad over it??

If they had ACTUALLY discriminated against your partner I would support you 100% as a handicapped person myself. But they did not. They asked a person who was LOITERING to leave and nothing more. YOU escallated the situation. YOU filed the FAKE report because YOU were butthurt. YOU have totally dismissed your partners part in all of this and put all of the blame on Dottys. Your partner was LOITERING and was asked to move on, thats all. You cannot be surprised NOW when they dont want YOUR business. YOU have done this to YOU, Dottys is only exersizing their RIGHTS as a business.

Also you do realize that by making this post, you have given Dottys excellent amunition to use against you in a civil proceeding. By posting this ONLINE, you have used a media outlet to slander a business. YOU have done this maliciously and spitefully. So Im sure Dottys will want to see your post.

Your goal, from what I can see in your own words, was to get the bartender who kicked your partner out fired, and to try and get something out of Dottys for your "pain and suffering". You are about 7 years too late for this particular ploy to work. Evidently the web has matured MORE then you and your partner. Dottys has the RIGHT to ask people who are LOITERING to leave. Maybe in the future, before YOU post your BS, you might do some research.

This is a FALSE report, this consumers PARTNER was asked to leave due to loitering. When they couldnt get their revenge through the BBB, they came HERE. Its the USUAL consumer self entitlment. THEY think they are better then the business that kicked them out so they file here in a absurd attempt to use social blackmail.

You need to grow up and start acting like adults, and not little teenaged girls. Your first complaint to the company was dismissed due to your partner being at fault. Your BBB case was closed due to the fact that the LAW backs up Dottys. You then call the complaint line again and are told in a voicemail that you have been 86'd. How in ANY stretch of the imagination can you sit there and call yourselve "excellent patrons" when all you have done is attempt to get someone fired for YOUR PARTNERS LOITERING??

This is the REAL reason you have filed to all of the places you can:

He was outraged..........................

Maybe its time to swallow your pride. A lot of different people have told you that YOU are wrong. Maybe its time to accept it and move forward. Just because you were "outraged" doesnt make what happend to you a crime OR a ripoff. Your partner was loitering and was asked to leave, nothing more. You are the ones who have escalleted a situation that did not NEED to be escallated. Had your partner just left and waited and accepted the fact that the business had the right to ask him to leave then you would still be able to go into a Dottys. YOU have reaped what you have sown.
