Dover Police Department Lazy Dover, Delaware
I live in dover delaware and every year we take a weekly camping trip with the family. This year when I came home I came home to my house being robbed. I decided to call the police department and at the time I only noticed a few items missing but the officer that came told me not to touch anything so when the detectives got here it would be untouched when the detectives arrived they only looked at my dresser not anywhere else in the house and found 2 items I thought were missing (bc they were not where I put them) on the floor but never found any of my other items. I sent my oldest son to the store and he came home saying a neighbor boy told him our house was robbed and was able to tell him everything that was missing. So I went to the neighbors and asked them and they were able to tell me exactly what happened and that the kids were sitting on my roof (the access point they used to get In my house) and was able to give the kids names that did it. I called the detective and let him know what I was told so he went and talked to the neighbor.. this all happened june 11th..it is now july 20th and nothing has been done and the detective does not return my calls... they stole a significant amount of items about $2000 worth smashed my laptop screen and shoved crayons in my printer and now it won't work. They ate a lot of food in my house and left icys melted all over my floor.. when I called the detectives boss he just gave me the detectives number and told me to call hime because he was at his desk now... like it didn't matter that he wasn't returning my calls for over a month! When I called him he seemed to think I was lying because they found a couple of items on my floor..if some1 wouldn't have broken into my house and knocked my stuff over.. you have the kids names and their address!! Why is nothing being done!! I live pay check to paycheck and have to save for everything I get and now all of that stuff has been stolen and the dover police couldn't care less!!
