Dr. Bill Matt Dr. Joe, Dr. Jeffrey, Dr. Smith, etc. The "Dr." Strikes Again! Dr. Bill Matt contacted me from my preschool craigslist post to babysit his twins. Sends bad check and trys to get you to wire money. Beware of any Dr.'s on craigslist! Internet, Ontario

I recently opened a preschool & family child care and posted my ad on craigslist which is where Dr. Bill Matt found me and many others. He pretends to be a doctor who has a medical conference in your area and he needs someone to watch his twin girls for the 4 weeks that he'll be at the conference. He even sends you a fake picture of his girls to make it more believable. Any ways what he does is overnight you a bad check for way more than what you charge, wants you to immediately cash it, then wire some of the money to another account for the "kids' toys" from a "toy store". So afterwards, the check bounces, you have to pay back the money to the bank along with other bank fees associated with it and you're out the money that you wired out. Luckily I caught on before I deposited the check, but I fear that others may not. Here's the emails he sent:

Hello,
My name is Dr Dill, I need a babysitter for my twins, i'm coming down to your area in the state for a Five Weeks Medical Programs and am coming down with my twins.
Please get back to me if you are interested in babysitting for my twins.I need someone that will take care of them as her own baby.
Please get back to be on time so we can arrange how possible this will be.

Thanks for your reply.I am a father of a twin baby girl, They are two years old,So that means you are caring for 2 girls (Tom and Mel) from the time frame below.Transportation would be in my vehicle as I want them totally in your care at the time frame below,hence include a reasonable cost of feeding for same time frame...What are your likes and dislikes in KIDS?
The time frame :
Days : Monday To Friday
Time : 8:30Am To 4Pm
From Sep 13th to Oct 8th.
Get back so I can have you booked as I am rounding off plans and allotting money to issues that should be settled prior to my arrival.I have attached the KIDS picture for your viewing.What's the total price estimate for the time frame ?Get back to me ASAP.

Thanks for the prompt response. Regarding the Contract,there is no problem with that.I'm going to sign it and come along with it include other document. I am glad you are interested in caring for my Kids. I want to assure you that money is not my problem as i will be making payment arrangement to you prior to my arrival.You will be providing them breakfast,lunch and snacks.The Kids are potty trained and they are free eater. They are not allergy to food or anything.I will be coming along with their car seat.I will be dropping them off in the morning by 8:30am and will come to pick them up by 4:00pm, I want you to get back to me your estimate so as to have you booked and secured prior to my arrival.I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thanks for the prompt response, I have informed my colleague that i have gotten someone who will be caring for my Kids and am really looking up to the care you will give to my KIDS. I will have the deposit and the payment for your service for babysitting my Kids made to you prior to my arrival, Also I have contacted a store that will be shipping the KIDS item and packages to your address with the KIDS toys,i just want to inform you about this and i will be forwarding money for the KIDS item plus your a month wages,so you can forward the money for the KIDS item to the Store Manager and she can send the items to you before i arrive with the KIDS and so you can put everything in place prior to our arrival.

I turned everything into the police and they are looking into it now. Please pass this information on to anyone you know that could be a victim of Dr. Bill.
