Draper Auto Gary Lauritzen Dealer sold car with faked safety Inspection car broke down on the way home Draper Utah
Car dealer represented car as in excellant condition. It is a 2006 Suburu Legacy. Sold car without having a safety inspection. Dealer said inspection was done but refused to provide documentation. Car broke down on the way home. Dealer refused to return calls. Car continued to break down and unsafe to drive. Met with dealer and demanded to see saftey report. Dealer refused stating it was non of my business. Dealer refused to tell me where inspection was done. He refused to tell me where he purchased car from. Utah Highway Patrol did invetigatin and found Draper Auto falsified saftey report and emission test. Draper Auto owner Gary provided falseified documentaio to the DMV to get the car registered almost 6 weeks after car was sold. It was discovered car was never inspected or had emission test. Highway Patrol had the car inspected and it failed. It will cost about $3,000 in repairs for the car to pass a safety inspection and another $2,000 to pass the emission test. Gary has refused to take car back. His responce has been to go onine and say owner of car is just mad becuase Gary refussed to have sex with his mother.
This dealer is emotionally incompetant. This dealer committed fraud and the failure to have the car inspected could have cost a person a life. His inability to understand the law and ethics is a great concern and should not be allowed to be in business. Gary thinks this is funny and unwilling to make it right. A law suit has been filed. I would suggest if dealer refuses to proved any documents, walk away.
