Drive Time Sorry Poor Excuse For A Company Garland, Texas
I purchase a vehicle from The Drive Time location on Garland Rd in Garland TX. the day I bought the vehicle I left the lot and was back within 45 mins. The heater coil was bad and I had a puddle of water in my passenger floor board. I guess they thought I would not try out the rear heater on my 2004 Isuzu Ascender in the middle of a Texas summer. When I took it back they were completely rude an dsaid I would have to take it to their repair station and pay a diagnostic fee for the repair. WHAT???! I just put the down payment 45 mins before!!!!!!! So the I put it in the shop and they "FIXED " it. Yeah right. Then about two weeks after this happened I went to get in my vehicle to go to work and my key would not turn. I called DT (Drive Time) waranty dept again. the sent a locksmith to fix it. I missed half a day of work and went on my way. As if this wasn't enough, the transmission started slipping about two weeks after the lock smith. I had it overhauled through their people and paid the diagnostic fee. In addition to all of this the check engine light goes on and off at random and I dont have the money for repairs now because the warranty is gone. Come to find out a few months ago (after my warranty was gone) they just bypassed the the heater coil previously mentioned and now I have no rear heater. Now it's winter and my kids have to wear huge winter jackets because Drive Time screwed me over. I will never reccommed them to anyone. I tried to retunr the vehicle claiming it was a lemmon but they refused to refund my money and would not try to exchange it or otherwise. They claimed they would find something similar and comperable but never came through. Now I just pray the vehicle lasts. I checked the blue book on my vehicle (after the purchse unfortunately) and it was about $9,000. They priced it at over $15,000 and a 20% interest rate which will cost me over $25,000 over the life of the the loan. Biggest bunch of crooks I have ever had the displeasure to meet and or deal with.
