Dun & Bradstreet WATCH OUT when D&B sells you a service, the bills never stop! Short Hills New Jersey
I was contacted by a Dun & Bradstreet representative, Jim Garrett, on 10/30/08, who convinced me to buy a "DNBi Self Monitor" package and a "Credit Evaluator Plus" package for $1,708.20. The service made a lot of sense and I purchased it on my AmEx. Over the course of the next 2 months I started to get all kinds of charges on my AmEx, over and above the $1,708.20. First for $300.00, then $299.00, $499.00. I inquired about the charges and was told that it was for "services" - exactly what services was unclear. Furious, I contacted Jim Garrett and asked for a credit for services I never ordered or was informed of. After multiple emails and phone calls I did receive a credit for $300.00 and $299.00. However, to this day I have never received a final credit for the $499.00, dispite multiple requests! I always associate "scams" with small fly-by-night companies, but Dun & Bradstreet proves that even the big guys cannot always be trusted!
