This guy, Dwight Stephen - Fine Print Pictures (Address- 3033 Kent Ave North E Apt 1213 Vancouver, BC V5S 4P7), contacted me about a mouth ago, stating that he is interested in hiring me to DP his upcoming short. It is his first film, he said, and he would like me to give him proper guidence to make this film right. Told me that he has $25,000 ready in his account to make this film, and any professional crew I bring on board would get pay with reasonable wages. After we agreed a production date I start preping the show. However, after I contacted and organized everything - introducing him to professioanl Production managers, hiring my camera, lighting crew, organizing camera / lighting rentals, and per his request ordering film stocks from Kodak. He disappears, the checks he wrote me bounced, and every time he agreed a meeting and sets up a time, he won't show up (without phone calls). Not only he caused lots of inconvenience to a lot of people, and wastes a mouth of my time while I could be doing other project, he also damaged my relationship with Kodak and rental houses. Not to mention I lost $250 depoiste to hold the camera, since we are renting from a provate owner, which he PROMISED that he would pay me back. Avoid this shameless liar and make sure he doesn't corrupts out film industry and cons professional filmmakers again. R Vancouver, British Columbia Canada
