The question is not about who has what job or who went to college, but can not a person pump their fuel in their vehicle without smart a*s comments from the high school grads who do not have the will or determination to get a degree in college. Too many opportunities out there for anyone who wants to go, if you haven't then shame on you.

College education is useful ONLY when it is part of a well rounded person who also has real world experience and common sense.
I have personally seen "college graduates" who have very little, if any common sense in day to day things in the real world.
The main problem I have seen with college graduates is that they overestimate thier worth in the employment world based soley on that college degree.
I will be the bearer of bad news here. That college degree by itself isn't worth anything in the real world, in most cases.
There are alot of very smart people out there that also have skills and common sense that never had the opportunity to go to college. I would rather hire the person that came up the hard way than some brat who had everything handed to him/her. It is a whole different work ethic.
Case in point. I am NOT a college graduate. I came up the hard way. Served 10 years in the military. Some technical training. That's it. But, Throughout the majority of my adult life, I have outperformed most college graduates I know in income and quality of life.
For example, I remember a snooty "professional" person who was putting me down when I was driving truck. I chuckled at this fool. He was making about $45k a year in his "professional" career, and I was making almost $70k a year as a lowly truck driver.
This "professional" was making a car payment on a a fancy car that he couldn't really afford, and was not smart enough to maintain or repair it himself. He needed another "non-professional lowly "mechanic to do it for him, and then complained about the cost! I had a 6 year old truck that was paid for, which I maintained 100% by myself without that college degree, or being a self proclaimed "professional".
Now we can get to this alleged professional person and his school loans which he could not pay back even on that $45k salary. He was in default and in collections with his paycheck about to be garnished. That "professional" salary of $45k just got 25% smaller....for the next 4-5 years as a minimum. I had no school loans and no car payment. My $65-70k was mine to keep.
After all, what is a "professional"?
To me, it is anyone who is specialized in anything, that not everyone can do.
You college types need a reality check before you look down your snooty nose at us "non-professionals".
After all, could you drive that 18 wheeler?
Could you maintain and repair that 18 wheeler?
Do you know Haz Mat regulations?
Probably not.
You all don't even have the COMMON SENSE to keep your BMW out of the blind spot of a big truck! I guess there are some things they just don't teach in college!

Given the errors in this report by the complainant (i.e., spelling, grammar, and syntax) I am inclined to believe the person that confronted you. Self-esteem is not a good reason to take up a legal battle in an overburdened legal system. This would be a frivolous lawsuit at best. You would pay the attorney a small fortune for this slight, something that your self-esteem and educational background make it easy for you to understand. If a person harasses you and now you must harass them - using your words this shows no sense of critical thinking. If you do this then you are no better than the person you complain about in this public forum. This is another decision of yours that makes people doubt the worth of your education. This is not the forum for this perceived criminal offense but is designed for those that have more at issue than being humiliated and reactions.

I suggest that you think real hard about what the employee "Elena" said, and consider the fact that she may have been right.
The trend has been steadily increasing where people graduate college and cannot get a job in the field that they went to school for, or if they do get one, the wage is compareable to what a non college graduate is being paid for the same job.
You see, the simple fact that you got a college degree does not make you any better or smarter, or more valuable to the employer as the person without the degree. This is a proven fact, and I have seen it myself time and time again.
It all comes down to the economy, and supply and demand. If an employer can hire a person who is willing and able to do a job for $12 an hour, why would they pay you $18 just because you have a degree? They wouldn't. Because the $12 an hour worker most likely worked in that field for the 4 years you were in college and actually got real life hands on experience doing the job, so the employer doesn't have to train that person to do the job, and is better off with that person. On the other hand, even if that employer hired the college graduate with no job experience, that employer would have to train that college graduate to do the same job as the non college graduate. Training costs money.
School recruiters are mostly to blame here as they blow smoke at college prospects to get them to sign on the dotted line. College education is being "sold" for no other reason than profit, and the naive student buys into everything college recruiter pitched to them, although most of it was BS.
The bottom line here is that a college degree, in itself will not usually get you hired in this economy. Too bad, so sad. Go flip burgers or something like the rest of the college graduates who are unemployed.
Did you ever think that the employee "Elena" was herself a disgruntled college graduate who could not get any other job than sweeping that parking lot? Think about here motivation for what she said, and quit being so thin skinned. You really have way too much time on your hands and are really thin skinned and narrow minded if you would even consider getting an attorney in this matter.
YOU need to get a life, and a grip on reality!

Are you so thin skinned that you would actually contact an attorney over this?
Get your gas elsewhere and move on.
