Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to file a complaint against the operators of the site Elena's Models whose website has an Internet address https://www.elenasmodels.com. Briefly my case is the following.
I have joined the site as a free member on 1st February 2016. Five days later, that is on 5th February 2016, I paid $259 to become a Premium Member for 3 months. During the period as a free member the only thing which I was allowed to do was to send expression of interest (EOI) to ladies of choice, which I did on several occasions. Most of my EOI's were accepted by the recipients. Before sending these EOI's I always took time to read through the person's profile including the message which the girl supposedly wrote herself. Such profiles were written in English which could be well understood and I had no reason to suspect that most of the women on the site required a translator for their correspondences. Even by reading through their profiles one cannot suspect that these profiles were translated. The English is too good for an electronic translator to have been used. I would like to make it clear that unless one pays a fee then there is no way in which one could send messages to the ladies.
As soon as I purchased my membership I started to write letters to ladies of choice. Initially I didn't worry much about the way the letters were written: basically I could understand what the lady was more or less trying to tell me, But then I didn't want to stay corresponding for ever and the thought struck me that if we were to meet up then there may possibly be a serious language barrier. When I had the first opportunity I asked a lady from whom I have received the 2nd letter whether she needed a translator for her letters to which she replied that yes, she needed one. Since then I always asked the ladies who bothered to answer my letters whether they required a translator to communicate in English to which most of them replied that yes they do.
When I have learned exactly what the situation was and the fact that there is nowhere on the site which informs a person before he makes his payment that most of the women on the site cannot communicate expect through a translator, I requested a refund from the operators of the site. This was on 15th February 2016, that is, about 10 days after I have paid a $259 subscription. Unlike what they have in their terms and conditions; that is, that no refunds would be issued; my request was granted and I was refunded only $130. That is, I was made to pay $129 for 10 days. I believe that I ended up as the victim of a fraud and that is because there was no way in which I could have known something which would have affected my decision to pay my membership before actually paying. Although I didn't expect a full refund, a refund of $200 would have been just. When I told the operators this viewpoint they were nasty with me and among several insinuations they wrote me,
a).That I should have requested a refund before the 10 day period!
b).That this was not fraud because it is not possible for ex-Soviet Union ladies to have English as their mother tongue (well English is not my mother tongue but I can communicate quite well and I don't need a translator!),
c).That I sent many letters and email addresses to the ladies (I have paid for 3 months and I used only 10 days from three months. Besides this shown that the operators at the help desk viewed the contents of my letters when they shouldn't had in the first place),
d).That there are girls who are teachers of English and others who speak English fluently. Well, my experience shown me otherwise!
Later I discovered that there are many complaints against Elena's Models on the Internet and that this site is still allowed to operate is for me a mystery!
