I purchased two Devon Rex kittens from Elizabeth Bolen, both are extremely sick within days. The vet treating them has stated that both are undernourished and extremely thin, both have a virus that MAY be contagious to people. The person that bought the litter mate to one of mine contacted me through Facebook. Her kitten was extremely sick the day she got it and it died from FIP within days. Several people have contacted me, apparently Elizabeth forges health certificates and I researched her name and cattery and she has been selling sick and dying kittens for years. This breeder needs to be held accountable and she needs to be stopped.

My experience with Elizabeth is very different than the two women who have shared theirs. I am very sorry for what they went through. I did purchase a kitten from Elizabeth and her husband and picked him up from their home/cattery. I have no clue who Karen Hill is. When purchasing a kitten, wherever it comes from, there is always a health risk as no one can guarantee perfect health. It appears that the breeder did everything she could to rectify this unfortunate and sad situation. My kitten is healthy and Elizabeth inquires about him every day. The cattery was was clean and well kept. Those kittens appeared to be very much loved and Elizabeth and her husband gave many suggestions and recommendations in keeping them healthy. I don't think a veterinarian would risk losing their license by working closely with any breeder to forge documentation. I think it's also very important to state facts when making a hefty accusation. If there are others, why have they not come forward? It appears 2 people are trying to ruin another person and make it seem as if there are many people many who have had the same experience. This has not been mine. Please in the future state facts and not assumptions. I'm sad for your loss but I am also sad when I see a person being ambushed with information one cannot possibly have. You've said she intentionally sells dying animals and forges documentation. Those are serious accusations and would have had legal consequences one would not just post about on Facebook or other social media sources. I have 2 Devons, one who is 5 and the other a kitten.

I have had NUMEROUS kitten buyers contact me upon seeing my post with thier own stories and pictures. NONE were to tell me about their healthy kittens. NONE. Previous employees of this cattery have contacted me. Best steer clear from this facility. A lot of sad experiences and numerous sick kittens. Appears there have been a lot of lies going on. Good luck and I suggest you do your own homework. Dont take anyone's word for it. You will find all the proof neccessary

We LOVE the 2 kttens we purchased from Elizabeth for Christmas 2014. They are doing so great and healthy, and completely bonding with the family. Again, I would like to emphazise that they are HEALTHY and plump (4+ pounds each at 3 months). We purchased them in early December, they flew home then drove home with us for 4 hours. One did get the sniffles and it was an upper respiratory infection due to the stress of travel. In talking with our vet (who is expreienced with rare breed cats), she informed is that it is VERY normal for kittens to get upper respiratory infections multiple times in their first year, usually resulting from stress. Antibiotics cleared that right up and he is doing great. They both are. (They are almost 4 months old now)
The individual who is posting/slandering about 2 kittens she purchased from this cattery got a bit out of hand. Her kittens may have been put under a lot of stress with travel and their own genetic compositions couldn't handle it. When we read her numerous re-posts of this smeared all over the internet any where she could, we were nervous because we had just sealed a deal for 2 devon rex's. We appreciated that we could bring this to the attention of our vet and Elizabeth and received candid answers regarding the situation and the illnesses. Elizabeth has assured us that she has taken all the necessary precautions to avoid any communicable diseases possible, and guarantees her kittens to an extent.
YOU ARE SAFE TO TRUST THIS CATTERY, these kittens are healthy and lively... and way too cute!

First of all, I am NOT jumping to conclusions but repeating the things spoken by my veterinarain. I did not say it was DEFINATELY contagious to people and I also did not assume to know exactly what is wrong with the kittens so I can hardly see how you could possibly know when the vet doesn't. They are very very sick and my long time comapnion cat is now sick so we KNOW its contagious. They are too young to show antibodies as my vet said so there is NO test at this point to tell us what the exact problem is. They are NOT responding to antibiotics or antivirals FACT. My cat never goes outside or is ever around other cats and has never been sick a day in his life FACT. The vet is CONCERNED about what bacteria/virus they have. FACT. You are telling me that anyone who buys a kitten from a breeder is going to have their previous cats infected, have huge vet bills for illness that does not respond to medications ? There is NO speculation here or false accusations. Facts are facts. Get a life or atleast some knowledge before wasting people's time reading BS reports. You know nothing about the situation and unless you have ESP you are claiming to be more knowledgable than a cat specialist ? Another FACT. The littermate to my kitten died from FIP, father was infected and breeder KNEW before I took possession of it. Let's let the law decide

Vet FACT Page. So simple any layman can understand.
"VERY COMMON virus in multiple cat settings (90%)." "NOT contagious to humans"... please read the facts and PROVIDE the BREEDER with any information she must have requested from you by now; before jumping to conclusions that make matters worse. COMMUNICATE with the BREEDER not with other people who are making matters worse by ASSUMPTIONS. It is not right to accuse someone of doing something on purpose when you don't know all the facts. Please read the fact page provided and send all information asked of you to the person who is able to help you. Wounded people - wound people. If you were asked to provide specific information; just provide that. WORK WITH THE BREEDER.

My long time companion cat now fights for his life with a 105 degree fever from virus passed from sick kittens. This is a nightmare. Be aware that E and K Katz is AKA Beatymus Cattery. Cattery not registered with CFA
