Emerge Mastercard rip-off! Loansharking! Atlanta Georgia
I applied for and recieved a providian visa card. i had the visa for about four months before emerge bought my account and it was automatically transferred without my permission.I allowed the account to go over the limit which was my fault and i paid the $30 over the limit fee.I also payed ten dollars over the minimum payment and i was still over the limit. This went on for a few months. i could never catch up between the 23.83% interest and the $30 fee every month so i was told the account could be closed. I closed it and i am still being charged 23.83% interest and $30 dollars a month. Which works out to about 60% interest.
In one year i now owe $726.69 dollars on a 287.00 balance even though i've been making payments every month.This company is loansharking.I dont feel like there trying to get this balance payed off at all.I think think this is a scam and that is made even more clear to me when there is no web site-no customer service-no physical address.If there is a lawyer out there brave enough to take on this company i will back them up. I have no criminal record not even a parking ticket. I am employed full time at a mail order pharmacy. I will talk to the media or whoever I need to talk to in order to stop this obviously mafia influenced company from doing business.
