Emson/THP ripoff--Sona Air Massage (ad from T.V.) is non-functioning; motor not strong enough to inflate product; free adapter is useless and will not plug into product. Thousand Oaks California
The Sona Air Massage sent with return address of Emson/THP, Post Office Box 5089, Thousand Oaks, CA 91359, is a non-functioning product. The motor is too weak to inflate the leg massagers with air. It simply will not work. The adapter that they advertize as "free" does not fit into the air tube and is, therefore, useless for this product. With four batteries inserted, which are needed but not mentioned in the page of instructions, the product simply does not work. The shipping and handling fee probably gives Emson enough profit to make up for all the returns of this useless product. It is a true ripoff. Has anyone else had this problem?
I am returning the product by mail tomorrow; I will telephone them tomorrow to tell them; and I am stopping payment tomorrow on the MasterCard (although it is probably too late). It was also interesting that the address of this Company only shows up on the outside of the cardboard box the product was sent in. The box, if opened from the top, would cause the address slip to rip, and it would be hard to read where to return the product. Is this intentional? I never had a Company try to hide their name before, but it looks like Emson is trying to do that.
