Encenta Promotions ripoff. Dishonest and Deceitful. What a joke! Orem Utah
Like some others, I also chose a promotion from the Columbus Dispatch to go to automatic billing and was to receive 2 nights hotel stay in a hotel in "over 100 destinations" from Encenta Promotions.
Talk about hoops to jump through. First you have to send in certificate and they turn around and send you a reservation request form.
The reservation request form has to be sent within 90 days prior to travel date but with at least 40 day advance notice, $50 refundable deposit, and 3 requested travel dates at least 10 days apart are required to secure room.
I sent the form in on May 16, 2006 and chose Detroit. On 06/02/06, I received a letter from Encenta stating that Detroit was unavailable for all 3 dates I chose.
The letter said that "if there is sufficient time", I could choose another city and resubmit. Of course, there is not sufficient time, since I can't choose 3 dates 10 days apart before 8/1/06 and still send it in 40 days prior to the first date of travel.
Not one phione number is listed in their literature to call them or even send an email. Even there web site doesn't list a phone number or email address.
