On November 7, 2007 a charge for $1.95 appeared on my American Express credit card issued by USAA bank. The vendor was listed as Encore Mktg with an incomplete phone number 1-888-327-718. Each month thereafter a charge for $14.95 appears on our credit card. We have never ordered anything from Encore Mktg, nor have we ever received anything from Encore Mktg. This credit card is used only for supermarket and restaurant purchases. We normally shop at Hanneford Supermarket, which reported some months ago that it's credit card billing system had been compromised and information on many customers had been obtained by unauthorized persons. We assume this is how Encore Mktg obtained our credit card number. While the amounts involved are small, we are offended by this blatant thievery. Ronald, Bedford, New Hampshire.
