I joined ESS back in 2010 , and I did get all the printed business cards and flash point stuff. Getting all the business
startup is the least of your problems. Getting into a building and retrofitting LED is next to impossible to say the least. I
really think Peter is making all his money on the suckers that sign up and pay the stupid ADMIN FEE for the back office crap. There is also a monthly charge of like 80 bucks cant remember the exact amt, but honestly it was a complete waste of time and a fancy way of getting back end money upfront. He has some weekly conference call that makes it sound more legit, but truth be told, your not going to make any sales, the whole thing is just a scam to get money on the front end, then once you dont make any sales you will fade away like everyone usually does. I tried to reach out to a few salesman that Peter said worked there, but truth be told, everytime I left a voicemail on the salesmans phone number, the only person that reached out to me was Peters Admin girl, I think that was his wife, and by email only, it was a total joke. There arent a lot of sales people there, if you try to call them it just goes to Peters cell phone???? hmmmm see what I mean?
Save your money people, its just another scam.

So Nick, you had such a glowing report of Energy Saving Solutions, how did the installs at all those properties and hotels go? Looks like you made so much money you decided to retire from Energy Saving Solutions.

Yes, the Sales Profession is difficult and most people fail. That's simply the truth. It's also true that most people find it easier to blame others for their failures. Do you think that when Steve Jobs and Woz were working out of their garage at the beginning of Apple Computers, they had all the pieces in place... Or Bill Gates when he started... No! Do you know how many sales people left Microsoft at the beginning because they weren't given enought support and had a hard time selling a "new" concept, it's legendary and laughable.
I joined Energy Saving Solutions 2 months ago in August, 2011 and have paid $79 for the past 2 months for registering my clients in their CRM program. I have received all the electronic files, training and support, including the best power point presentation I've ever seen.
I have spoken with Peter Stein on many occasions and I can attest to the fact that he is authentic and professional. He started in this industry 3 years ago with another lighting company prior to starting ESS this year. Like many new small businesses he has had some growing pains.
It's unfortunate that these people who post derogatory comments didn't have the patience to work with this new company. I too have had to wait a few hours for a return call at times, but it's getting better as the business continues to grow.
I currently have a 40 story condo and a 36 story office building in downtown Honolulu that are in underwriting now and I have 16 hotels in a chain who are gathering their Facility Lamp Audit information for me as I type this. The energy savings that ESS creates for these clients is real, factual and is absolutely the future. The LED lighting products that ESS installs are from some of the biggest manufacturers in the world; GE, CREE and Phillips to name a few.
The fact is, every building will be retrofitted with LED efficient lighting. We are at the very beginning of an emerging and soon to be exploding industry!
I am convinced that ESS, currently a small start-up business, will become an industry giant. The LED lightinhg Retrofit business is absolutely the most powerful opportunity in the history of business, evidenced by the fact that the Department of Energy has been leading the drive for the emerging LED technology that just recently has achieved the efficacy that makes commercial retrofits feasible.
Anyone wishing to contact me about my experience with ESS, please feel free to call me. Nick at, 305-735-2878 x 6002.

" and if I do retract them, I will tell you this ahead of time, I will simply rephrase my statements to read that perhaps I had miss understood some of the promises that were made by some of your recruiters. (the reality is, I miss understood NOTHING though!)"
So, you'll lie to the rest of us if they give you the money? Gee thanks.
You do understand that posts you make here cannot be erased or edited, right? Given the above statement, your retraction would be a waste of time.

I am the original poster of this sad saga and I need to make it clear that everything I posted in the original post was and is 100% true. In fact Peter Stein contacted me on the phone and via email practically begging me to retract my statements and he also offered to refund the original amount of money I paid for the marketing collateral in writing along with a threat of a Slander Lawsuit (which he since has filed)
I invested 120 hours of my labor and energy into Peter Steins SCAM and this was the letter I wrote in regards to requesting a settlement with Peter Stein the CEO of Energy Savings Solutions:
"Peter,
After our conversation on Friday, I thought long and hard about everything that was promised to me by you and your company, and all the hours I invested working on the phone, emails, and a few in person meetings, and I realized I put a lot out, and got nothing in return. Your phone call prompted me to consult with my lawyer about our situation, and the fact that you threatened me with a law suit. He helped me to realize a few options I may have. However, he advised me to give you an option to settle this before I get his services involved in our business.
The bottom line is this, you want me to retract my postings on the web about you and your business, and I may be willing to do that. But as a professional who wasted, allot of time and energy and money on your "program" I need to be reimbursed for my time and my energy, and for putting my good reputation on the line with my clients. Specifically, Michael Keegan, did not show up for a major meeting with Dollar Tree corporate in which several of there executives were on a conference call waiting for him to show up. They have now lost all confidence in me and anything I might have presented to them in the future. As a result of that situation, I have also had to tell several other clients that I had pitched "ESS" to that the program probably was not a good fit for them, which confused them, to say the least.
I have been paid $50.00 an hour salary in the past, and that is what I charge when I am consulting on an independent basis. So I am using that hourly rate to quantify the amount of money I lost while representing Energy Savings Solutions.
I worked on this program for 4 weeks 30 hours per week x $50 per hour = $6000.00
The fact that I lost all credibility with Dollar Tree is not easy to quantify. However the fact that I previously sold them a multi year, multi million in-store music contract is worth mentioning, as indeed this would have been a real opportunity had Michael Keegan bothered to show up. I am putting a $3000.00 price tag on the cost of that embarrassing "no show" on behalf of ESS.
So you will need to reimburse me $9000.00 in order for me to retract my statements, and if I do retract them, I will tell you this ahead of time, I will simply rephrase my statements to read that perhaps I had miss understood some of the promises that were made by some of your recruiters. (the reality is, I miss understood NOTHING though!) (Perhaps if you can prove to me that some of the promises I was made are now actually viable services that ESS offers, I would post that as well) I will never totally retract my whole post, because the facts are Peter, I was promised several key marketing items and services that were never provided by your company or by any of your associates, and that is 100% true."
I have nothing to hide and welcome any further comments...

We have recently learned that Mr. Hoovers negative postings were lies that were fabricated in an attempt to EXTORT $9000 from Energy Saving Solutions (see email excerpt below) Justice will be swiftly served on you, Mr. Hoover. To punctuate the SEVERITY of this situation, Mr. Hoover; Extortion is a CRIMINAL ACT
you will need to reimburse me $9000.00 in order for me to retract my
statements - Chris Hoover (email sent by Chris Hoover 8/15/11 5:31pm )
Here are the facts:
1. Energy Saving Solutions, www.energysavingindustry.com, is a stand up company. As founder and managing director of this company I take tremendous pride in what we are doing to save companies money, create jobs, and help reduce dangerous carbon emissions.
2. Chris Hoover signed up to be a sales rep with Energy Saving Solutions, attended a 2 hour training session, was set up with CRM, Email, Phone, proofed and approved business card layout we designed for him.
3. ONLY AFTER 10 DAYS (not even enough time to proof, print and ship custom business cards and collateral materials) Chris Hoover FILES rip off report. At this point we have done absolutely nothing wrong. It's up to Mr. Hoover to perform, not Energy Saving Solutions, in order to effectuate a deal
going into the sales pipeline.
4. Energy Saving Solutions is in the business of providing marketing materials, training and ONCE a sales rep sends in 12 months of energy bills and a lamp audit form, we provide sales rep a proposal to present to the client. Mr. Hoover NEVER provided us ANY information to underwrite and therefore has
NO RIGHT to say we did not / do not perform. Mr. Hoover's claims are LIES and further discredited by his attempts of EXTORTION.
5. After we learned of this negative posting, I personally made multiple calls and sent emails to Mr. Hoover to understand and discuss his grievance. No response from Mr. Hoover. In one last attempt, I reached him. It was then that I discovered his real motive
Once he understood that I wanted to resolve this amicably and sort out his grievances, I was sent an email (posted above) in which Chris Hoover asks for $9000 to remove his FALSE CLAIMS from rip off report. This all amounts to the illegal and CRIMINAL act of EXTORTION. Any questions on what EXTORTION MEANS, see this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Extortion. Mr. Hoover will have his day in court. We will seek justice and will not take this sitting down.
