I rented a vechile from Enterprise while my vehicle was being repaired on January 30, 2012. I did not chose opitional insurance beause of a very brief repair time quoted. The Enterprise Agent noted  a few scrapes on the rear of vehile and I didnt not any damages. Upon return  another agent not two dings, one on roof and the other a small scrape on front passenger door smaller than damage noted by first agent. I refuted damages indicated that these scapes had to have been there previously and overlooked by first agent. Rental car had been kept in my gagare and at no time had it even been parked beside another vehicle in order to sustain these types of scraches. Agent wanted o collect my insurance deductiable on spot .

These damages were on the vehicle before I rented it and I should not have to pay for it. Enterprise has already filed a claim against my insurance company. This is a SCAM !

The odds are that the Enterprise location would have simply pocketed the deductible if you paid it. Do you honestly think they would have had a small scrape repaired? Keeping the 'damage' payment money is MUCH, MUCH more profitable. Also, using the same damage against another victim in the future is always a possibility. Definitely helps the manager make his numbers if he's running behind for the month.

Get this to court. Enterprise will have to convince a judge that their inspection process is basically fair, consistent and flawless. I don't see that happening........... especially if you can get some current/former managers to testify on your behalf. There have to be some out there in your area. Put some feelers out on Craigslist
