In August of 2008, I rented a Mazda 5 from Enterprise rent-a-car in Thibodaux, LA. The car got a flat tire.  Thankfully, I was close to home, so I drove the short distance, parked in my driveway and called their so called "roadside assistance".

The girl on the phone asked me if the car had a spare tire, and where was it in the car.  Well, I don't f*cking KNOW, it's not my f*cking CAR.  But, why would it NOT have a spare tire?  Don't you pride yourselves on keeping your cars well maintained?

"Well we can't send anyone out until we're sure there is a spare tire on the car, so you have to find it."  Of course SHE had no information as to where the spare could be. So I have to crawl all over the pavement looking for it.

I finally see it, and am assured that "someone would be out there soon."  Good thing I was at my house, because I got a call two hours later saying there was nobody available to help me until the next morning.  "Roadside assistance" my a**.

So the next morning, they send a drone from the enterprise office.  He doesn't know how to change a tire, so I volunteer to use my air compressor to fill the tire so we can drive it back to the office.  I could have done that yesterday!   So we get back to the office, and the rude prissy manager tells me I have to fill out an accident report.

What accident?  It wasn't an accident, it was a FLAT TIRE.  She told me it didn't matter; flat tires have to be documented as accidents "because it might have been caused by you hitting something."  Actually, no, I had not, which is what I put in the accident report.  I didn't know why the tire went flat.

So then I get a call the next day, saying that I owe Enterprise $250 for a new tire.   So I demanded that they show me the tire in question. There was a nail in the tire, which caused it to become flat.  The nail was in the tread part, not the side.  That's a $25 fix at most, yet they were trying to collect $250 from me for a new tire.

There was no way I was paying that.   So I cancelled my credit card immediately so they could not charge it.  Two can play at that game!  I never heard from them again.
