Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I was a former employee with epic valet for 1 year at Landmark Towers in downtown Phoenix, AZ on the corner of Camelback and Central while going to Arizona State University on the GI Bill. They are high-rise luxury towers. Right now I am working in the information technology field as a Network Engineer for a respectable Telecommunications Giant in a professional corporate environment and working as a part-time IT Systems Consultant.

I would have to say my experience as an employee with Epic Valet for that 1 year was good in the beginning and then after working there for a while, I started noticing how JC "The Owner" takes advantage of his employees by not paying people correctly because of an unorganized scheduling system, non-payment of overtime pay which is required by federal law, making up excuses to fire people, letting people go because of favoritism, and etc. I used to work at Landmark Towers but they lost the contract to that place to a respectable concierge company and they were going to have the employees that used to work at that location transferred to another location but, instead, started blaming their employees for the reason why epic valet lost the contract to landmark towers saying it is their fault for losing the contract and just wrongfully fired them.

I would not recommend to work for Epic Valet because of my experiences with them, it was very unorganized, paycheck errors were too much, and they didn't pay overtime while I was attending courses at Arizona State University. Luckily, I was able to get CompTIA A+ & Network+ IT Certifications in time while working for Epic Valet to find another job quickly with Dell Technical Support for a couple of years which had a much higher pay rate, paid overtime, was a professional corporate environment, plus benefits, then move on to continue attending courses with Arizona State University, accomplished my Bachelor's degree, get to where I am at right now and further my career with more IT Certifications in different fields of computer studies.

Filed an unpaid over-time wages claim to the Federal Dept of Labor

#2Author of original report

Wed, June 10, 2009

I filed an UNPAID OVERTIME WAGES CLAIM to the FEDERAL DEPARTMENT OF LABOR on EPIC VALET and finally got accepted my overtime pay. I was also told by the Federal Dept of Labor investigator that my claim turned into a CLASS ACTION SUIT for the company and that they are going to have to pay overtime to all the Employees they hired because they haven't paid anybody their overtime which is against FEDERAL LAW. After trying to advance in the current career I am in, EPIC VALET had wrongfully slandered and harassed me to my prospective employers looking into my work history and said a bunch of lies in RETALIATION to the FEDERAL CLASS ACTION SUIT that developed from my CLAIM. For EPIC VALET to go even further in the WRONG direction is clearly a show of this company's true stance of UN-ETHICAL and IMMORAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. This company was already illegally not paying its employees overtime but tops it off by SLANDERING and HARASSING a former employee that is trying to move up in his career field and all I was doing was reporting to the Federal Dept of Labor on a claim of not being paid my overtime. How can a company like EPIC VALET be continuing to do business when they wrongfully not pay their employees overtime and I do the right thing by reporting it to the Federal Department of Labor, which is my civil right, dictating that EPIC VALET rightfully pay its employees overtime on a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT and then go even further in the WRONG direction and HARASS & SLANDER me to my prospective employers? This is wrong and I wish I could do something about it, this is a clear show of how some companies can keep operating its immoral, unethical, cutthroat, and illegal business practice.
