I had an almost identical situation, with the same driver. PEOPLE, do your research before booking with them... It's not worth having your property destroyed, missing, or not have it at all. And the driver "Eli" also threw a box in my house too.

First of all we still haven't heard from you guys. A phone call would be nice especially since you said that you'll "get back to us." As far as packing supplies go, we bought additional supplies and gave them to the driver which was purchased from the storage facility. I find it funny that this particular fact wasn't mentioned. I guess your driver Eli forgot that part when he told you his one sided story.
You guys were told that the storage was completely full when we first called you and we have a contract from the storage facility stating that the storage was a "10x10" not a 10 x 15 as you are trying to say now. This fact was also verified by the storage facility manager "that day"while your driver Eli was there at the unit.
As far as the time that elapsed between the items arriving and us calling about the missing items is due to looking for them ourselves in boxes that we brought inside the house ourselves and had yet to unpack. The rings were in a jewelry box as you stated but since we were "moving" the box was packed up. Also since we were actually planning on doing this move ourselves, the rings were taken off so they wouldn't be damaged during the process of carrying furniture, boxes, etc.
In reference to the stairs fee, it was stated before receiving the initial quote that the apt was 2 flights up. This was even printed on the paperwork that you guys sent us, so why wouldn't that be included in the price quoted? You told me that they use the stair fees for lunch money. Really?!?!?!
The driver Eli was not pushed. In fact he was not touched at all, which is a blessing for him due to the fact of "him" cursing at me and throwing our belongings in the storage unit. Yes, it's true that he was cursed at but that was because he started throwing our stuff around the storage unit. Where's the professionalism there?
I find it quite disturbing that you would respond to this but not respond back to us with the phone call that you promised to do. It's also amazing that you didn't address the fact that you brought up another delivery that you had previously stated didn't exist. Do you make up deliveries to cover your mistakes? Maybe that's why you haven't called us back.
In response to you having a good reputation for 10 years, how is that possible when you have an abundance of complaints from previous years? Maybe you're able to say that because you continue to change web sites and web addresses as the complaints build up. You ask the question.."why wouldn't we file a police report for the missing items?" Who says that we haven't? This is an issue that we are prepared to see through all the way.
Practically "everything" that we are complaining about has been previously reported by other customers that you have had. I don't appreciate being called a liar when there are papers that document my claims. Some of which were provided by you. Maybe you should concentrate on resolving customer complaints instead of dodging them. I hope that you don't change web addresses again after this.

Everest moving & storage would like to set the record straight with customers who write false information. 1st of all when scheduling the move Customer told us she was taking the bus from GA to Ny then being picked up to CT. her move was set up for 3/8/2012 Our contract states that company needs a 2 days spread date for pickup. Secondly the customer informed us that her items are stored in a 10x10 storage unit and not completely full and provded with a detailed item list of 66 items in total. When the movers arrive and looked a the unit the correct a size was a 10x15 storage unit wich means a difference of 800 cubic feet and was completely full. The foreman immedialtly clarified with the customer of the cubic feet difference and the size difference and immediatly informed of the amount difference as well. When viewed the contants he noticed mattress and glass items were not wrapeed. Just placed in the unit. Foreman explained to the customers items can not be loaded this way and must be wrapped in bubble and mattress covers prior to entering the truck. for an additional cost. A day earlier the sales rep informed kerine to make sure those items were pre wrapped prior to our arrival. Since we were a day late Kerine said she will handle it. During the entire transition of the move and prior Kerine was numerous times on the phone with a sales rep being told how to handle and prepare for the move with packing, funds and timing. When the movers explained the packing cost she said do what you have to do since she couldn't find supplies herself. Lie since her items were in a Extra Space facility. They sale supplies. She was just assuming we would do it for free. When foreman advised her total packing cost she got rough with him cursed him pushed him and yelled at her husband and degraded him infront of the movers making the move a complicated transition. Since we were late we had given them a $400 discount off the total move which is mov then enough for our delay. Move ended with an additional 400 cubic feet extra after numerous conversations with management. Total items loaded were 113 items. An additional 47 items from original list provided to sales rep. More then 65% more items then her original quote. For only an additional 400 cubic feet on quote. Keep in mind NO packing supplies were charged on contract. And NO glass items were loaded for insurance purposes. Customer agreed to final cost after numerous curses pushing and degrading of movers, husband and management. Driver was infromed to step to the truck and stay until final loading is done for no further confrontations. The customer informed she expects delivery within 24 hrs. we explained it takes 2-3 days for delivery and she must have all funds available by cash or postal money order. Kerine explained she will not have the funds but expects delivery and will make payments in the next few months. Unacceptable and called her Aunt for assistance. Her Aunt made the intital payment leaving the balance for Kerine at delivery. Movers proceeded for delivery in GA and arrived on 3/12/2012 2 days after pickup. Customer was told that since there are stairs at delivery there is an additional charge she refused and was told items will not be brought up for free due to initial confrontation with same crew. Items were unloaded at the bottom of the stairs and items were inspected by cusotmers husband and signed off in good condition. Customer insisted she wants items reassambled and once again informed we are not responsible nor any other moving company for items which were not dis assmbled by movers to be reassembled. ON 5/25/2012 2 1/2 months after delivery was finalized in good condition Everest moving & Storage recieved a call from Kerine stating shes missing 4 diamond wedding rings and a box of mans shorts. Come on 4 diamond wedding rings which were in a box and were precious to her. Why does it take 2 1/2 months to call for a missing box w/precious gems shouldnt they be on her finger on in her home jewlery box not in a box placed in storage for 5 months prior to the movers schedule. Since we couldn't help her on 5/25/2012 she filed this complaint. She should call the cops and file a missing jewlery report 7 months ago. Not wait to blame the next moving company who didn't pack any boxes for her. Only loaded bulky items and pre boxed boxes drove from CT to GA and unloaded. Customers like her which gives a company who have kept a descent reputation for over 10 years a bad reputation for a scam she is trying to pull.
