Express Electronics Ltd Riped off by Express Electronics - Sold us Counterfeit parts Mumbai, Louisiana
Express Electronics from York United Kingdom (www.express-elect.com) supplied us counterfeit components We have purchased ADS1212 and ADS1213 from them and all the parts failed to work on the first day.
They supplied us counterfeit parts and on top of that they do not honor their own warranty. After 50 emails and about 100 phone calls they are not giving our money back (or replacing parts) instead continuously telling that their supplier does not support warranty. Here is the stepwise sequence of events to bring to your notice:
- "Peter Minto" a sales rep from Express Electronics got my number from internet and started calling with offers.
- After few calls we sent them request for quote and they provided quote of 10 USD each for 100 parts.
- We bought components of 1000 USD (Proforma Invoice from express-electronics can be shared). - Once the parts were delivered, We tested them and found that the parts were counterfeit and did not work.
- There were calls/emails send to "Peter Minto" who keep on saying we will not take the parts back as our supplier do not have warranty, Upon continuous discussion here are some of excuses Peter made:
- We can provide replacement parts at 16 USD each (60% higher than the price)
- Express Electronics can suggest labs which can test the parts, The labs are not in UK and you have to send parts to USA
- Some lab names were shared with us and when those labs were contacted they said they do not perform any such test
After a month of discussions the case was transferred to "James Durham" supposedly quality manager at express electronics, who did the exact same thing "wasted our time" by continuous excuses -
- I am looking for labs which can test the parts and see if they really fail
- The labs will charge you 350 (approx 600 USD) to test if the part does not work (600 USD to test the components which cost us 1000 USD)
James Durham took sweet two months to tell me that he will not return any money back. We want to bring to your notice about Express Electronics (www.express-elect.com) whose main business is to cheat people out of their money by supplying counterfeit components. Here is heir complete address:
