I have to agree with the original post. We went to the first meeting at legacy ranch which was not easy to find. We did finally find it however it did not seem to be a safe place for kids to be. Especially in lieu of these children being taken from their families and going through traumatic events. I believe just like a lot of other people believe and have come to the conclusion that Maria care is nothing about the children and everything about her wallet. It is devastating to see that our county has allowed someone of that less than professional stature running something like legacy ranch to house these children. Always completely shocked when I was told that all of the information that was given to them in regards to background checks and the such was mysteriously gone. I and I'm sure, others we're also lost in there less than adequate system of keeping Records. Because I had made complaints regarding this, I was told that someone would get back to me regarding the system losing my information. I had waited 6 months yes 6 months and nobody called me back nobody sent a letter nobody came by. So I took it upon myself to call them. This is when I found out that the social worker through them Family Link kids no longer work there nor has worked there in months! I had to endure the most ridiculous experience of listening to Mariah talk about herself and try to sell off kids to the point of where I was literally nauseous and then to find out that all that was done and I was denied. When I asked why I was denied I was once again told that I would hear from someone to explain why. That my friend never happened. I never heard a thing. But I will tell you this much. Most of the people that were there going in to foster adopt had money. Most of the people there I believe new someone there and that was their foot in the door. Because they had something to give to Mariah that meant a whole lot to her... and it wasn't about the kids. I have since gone through another agency whom is placing us with two beautiful children. The original post was true and there are more online just type it in that there's complaints on Family Link kids complaints on legacy ranch. You will find there is plenty. And yes I believe that a lot of the people who got screwed over by Mariah and Family Link kids would definitely agree to run and not walk away from this agency!

I will not hide behind anonymous user names, my name is Stacy Palm and I am the current Compliance Manager with Family Link. I have been with Family Link for several years and I'm so hurt by the outright lies and vindictive nature of the above comments that I could not stand by while this great mission that serves children in need is defiled by individuals who feel the best way to promote their new business is by hurting others.
I could go through each of these comments one by one and provide facts and figures as to why there is no validity to them, but I believe the strongest proof is that this individual will not post who they are because they understand that slander is a criminal offense. Family Link has placements occurring on a regular basis and any individual can view our license that is in good standing with no conditions on the DFPS website. You can also see that we have 120 homes across Central Texas that are current Family Link families.
The above posting hurt very much, as I do consider both Chris and Mariah Wilde friends, as I do all the current staff memebers. They are generous people to work with and have always shown me that they are gracious towards their staff and families. Legacy Ranch has been a dream for our whole organization and one that is already successfully helping children - it is amazing to see these children on a daily basis, to play with them, guide them, and show them new experiences. It is shameful that the individual who posted the above comments most likely never spent a day with the children swimming and playing, and has the audacity claim that they are unsupervised and in danger!
I'm not posting this because I was asked to; I have no other agenda than to speak some truth, as a person who works side by side with some amazing individuals who are valued and cherished as friends. I hope that whomever reads this post understands that my heart is behind my words, and I am not afraid to stand for truth. ~ Stacy Palm ([email protected])
