Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I literally worked at Fast Train for exactly 2 weeks and 4 days. They decided it was time to fire me after 2 weeks because they were unhappy with how I relayed phone messages to them. In desperation to keep a job that was difficult to find to begin with I asked for one week to improve on my message relaying as well as my "attitude." Apparently what they consider attitude is when ever they feel that someone is telling them how to do their job. Apparently, "Please call such and such as soon as possible," actually means, "Why aren't you doing your job? You should really get on the ball." The best part is they don't voice their concerns or problems with your work. The first sign of a problem, "hey you're message relaying sucks, you're fired."

Even after they tried to fire me the first time, that we agreed on one week to improve my efforts, they still decided on the next Monday, ONE DAY of proving myself, that despite everything they're just going to have to go with their gut and they didn't believe that any amount of time would change their mind about my work satisfaction.

They honestly believe that 3 days of training prepares their Administrative Assistants for the high tense work load and phone calls.

Worst part about all this. I'm the fourth Administrative Assistant they've hired and fired within the year. I made sure to tell them that their instability in the work place reflects on their reputation and the students take notice. Every student I met for the first time made a point to mention that they couldn't believe they had gone through another Administrative Assistant. It's the same reason they lost an entire Medical class because one minute an instructor is working there and the next there isn't. In the less than three weeks that I worked there I was a part of two fires and another person quit.

I'm completely sour about all this, especially considering I skipped out on TWO teacher interviews by accepting the job and deciding, "No I won't go to those interviews because I already commited myself to this job and I'm going to return the favor of working for them because they bothered to hire me."

I wasn't fired because I'm incompetent, because I can't get my work done on time, because I didn't get along with anyone in the workplace, because my workstation was always messy, because I constantly showed up late, because I had little to no work ethic. I was fired because they didn't like how I relayed messages and they didn't even give me the opportunity to improve on that aspect. Message relaying, first time offenses, is not grounds for firing someone.

I've never felt more betrayed by a company. If you manage to get a job with them don't be surprised if you're recieving phone calls concerning the position you just filled. It's not that they forgot to take it down, they're just waiting for your first mess up to give them a reason to take you down. I received four resumes and 2 phone calls concerning the position I was filling at the time and my supervisory played it off saying she had no idea why anyone was calling about it and to just take their resumes. Unbelievable!
