Your current rebuttal is incorrect. The only lawsuits that Edward S. Bales has been involved in were the same two isolated individuals who one tried filing in Florida and the case was thrown out and then the two both filed in Delaware and they lost on all merits.
I have copies of the lawsuits, the lies they told, etc. Additionally, there have been no actions in Pennsylvania involving me with any of my companys. I think you should do better research.
We are always changing our web sites and they are always being updated. People may have presumed that names occurred for "public bashing" however it was for expansion purposes and it has always been a matter of public record with the STate of Florida, Better Business Bureau and other agencies.
The fact is arbitration is in the process this week and all of this will be corrected to refleect exactly the defamation, malice, etc that did and is ongoing. We will not NOW all of the sudden drop or forget anything. You people have caused serious damage and have went to such extremes that after the arbitration is over, the company and individuals affected will be filing lawsuits in the State of New York and/or Federally to recover damages. Damages will be recovered by ANY and ALL means. That means in the State of New York, property, cars, wages, etc.
Please don't forget that your relative Brooklyn emailed our attorney agreeing to retract the statements and we have a whole list of legal reasoning behind that that will not only win the case at hand, but show you that acting in this matter has its consequences.
I look forward to seeing you people again in court. I tried to be nice about this whole matter because yes I was once and only once in a federal prison camp and it was for something that happened in 1989-1990. I just didn't go in or come out like you people. Everyone though is entitled to a second change and to be treated fairly. That is why this type of business was created. People like you who don't get your way or admit your errors and stop at nothing to ruin people need to be stopped. That is the bottom line. So we are not going to just forget all about this and move on. I look forward to seeing you in the appropriate court jurisdictions in the very near future. Of course that is unless you decide to provide a full retraction of what was posted. We have your retraction in any case and we will win. It is a shame that things have to get like this. I will be nice no more though.

I am related to the individual who originally posted this comment and in the spirit of "Cooler Heads," I was asked to comment about Mr. Bales' most recent post.
1. Public records, State Attorney General's offices, and other public data bases will confirm that Mr. Bales (Federal Prison Consultants, LLC) has been the subject of various complaints and civil litigation in Delaware, Pennsylvania and Florida.
2. Public records, public data bases, PrisonTalk and PACER will confirm that over the past few years, various "associates" of Federal Prison Consultants/Experts have been convicted felons. The fact that these individuals are attempting to make amends to society is extremely admirable; however, the fact remains that they are convicted felons as is Mr. Bales who interestingly, has yet to admit it, but that fact is really not germane to the issues at hand.
3. Mr. Bales' most recent comments, apparently designed to lead the reader to believe that his name has always been associated with Federal prison Experts, are the most confusing. In fact, one of his own company's comments claimed that his name was previously removed from everything because of "reputation bashing." Furthermore, we would suggest that even the most basic of Internet reviews will show that Mr. Bales' professional and personal web forums have undergone several recent "updates," additions and changes since these accusations and counter-accusations started several weeks ago. Accordingly, if Mr. Bales' name and title now appear on certain web sites, that doesn't mean that certain assertions made weeks ago are inaccurate or defaming.
I am not now nor have I ever been a fan of "anonymous posts," but this was initiated in this type of forum and it should end the same way. Although I harbor personal issues with the "harsh" language used, my relative has a right to "vent" in any forum she likes. She did so here with publically available facts and without malice. Nonetheless, I have since counseled her about "tit-for-tat" arguments and have suggested that this matter be dropped, I hope you agree. I think we both have better things to do with our time.

This is to serve as notice that if your false information is not retracted by Wednesday, July 13th, 2011, our attorney will be filing a subpoena to request your identity. If you are indeed the person who is associated with Jackie from Brooklyn and who posted a retraction per the request of our attorney last month, then this constitutes further defamation and fraud. Regardless, you are completely incorrect about your statements here even further. Mr. Bales is fully associated with the company's you mention. It is listed on all web sites, the BBB and other social media, including Facebook. This information will be supplied to Ripoff Report and an arbitration requested and your remarks will be stricken and you will face the legal consequences of your actions. Again, a complete retraction must be posted by Wednesday, July 13th, 2011 or you will suffer the consequences of your actions and as you can see there is only a partial list of clients that also posted to your falsities.

Dear Mr. Bales,
I just wanted to thank you and your staff for keeping me informed on Artie Dufur's case. I have really enjoyed working with Joyce Maxie. Because of her professionalism and speedy response to any of my
concerns, I feel assured that Artie's case is being handled with much care and consideration. I appreciate
all that you have both done and are doing. I would recommend your company to anyone. Thank you
again.

I hired Federal Prison Consultants almost two years ago. I have found them to be very
knowledgeable and very helpful and very passionate in helping people who are being
sentenced and have been in prison. Their compassion also extends to the families of
inmates.
They always return calls and emails and they work very hard to keep on top of the case
they were retained. They are with you from the beginning of the sentence and stay with
you until the time has come for release.
Federal Prison Consultants also are here to help with inmate matters that require
outside assistance and know what is needed and who to contact to get answers from
the Dept. of Federal Prisons.
I have found Mr. Bales to be honest with me and help me when my family member
needs his guidance. It does help to have someone to talk to about the Prison system
and the answers may not be what we want to hear but what you will hear is, why
something is or is not possible and how to go about the best possible way to have a
case heard by the right officials so that the inmates best interests are being presented.
Sincerely, Pam B.

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter to recommend Mr. Ed Bales to anyone who might need
his services. After serving my sentence in the Federal system, I was transferred to a halfway
house in Cleveland, Ohio. The halfway house was a nightmare. It was filthy and
disgusting. Their claims of being a "reentry program" were not true at all. After
completing all my requirements to be eligible to go on home confinement, I was told they
would get to my paperwork when they had time. Time after time I was lied to and giving
false information. Even though I had done everything they had required of me and had no
incident reports in both Federal Prison and in the halfway house, they refused to complete
my paperwork to allow me to go home. My husband and I then enlisted the help of Mr.
Bales. After the first conversation with Mr. Bales, I finally felt relief that there was an
advocate for my situation. He made the phone calls to the BOP and discovered that the
halfway house was holding up my paperwork. He requested answers from the halfway
house but they were unwilling to answer him. He then contacted the BOP and made them
aware of my situation. He made many follow up calls, emails, and faxes and stayed on
top of the situation. He kept my husband and I informed of the progress. I was released 4
days later. It was such a relief to finally be going home to my family. I am confident that
had Mr. Bales not intervened, I would have not been released. My only regret is that we
had not contacted him sooner. If you find yourself or a family member in need of his
services, please take this recommendation into consideration.
Sincerely,
Bridget Varnes

Mr. Bales and his staff has always been RIGHT there when I needed information or any
consultation. They were very prompt with the e-mails that I sent out. And they have worked
closely with my family to make sure that I was always treated fairly in what ever the case
may have been. As I write this email, Mr. Bales and his staff are currently working on some
important things that are going on with my halfway house. I certainly put my stamp of
approval on Mr. Bales and the FBC.

I apologize for taking nearly a week to respond to your request. The new chemo and meds
really knocked me for a loop. I am just now able to sit up at this keyboard long enough to
finally answer your e-mail. I've got an idea: I'm going to send you a blank e-mail
and request that you write my testimonial for me. Mentally, I'm just not able to put into
writing just how grateful and blessed I am to have come under your kind care-- please express
for me what I feel and sign my full name attesting to it. Thank you so much Ed, and I
certainly hope I'm not too late to get onto your web page. I'm from Houston, Texas.

I would like to take a moment and reflect on the accomplishments of Federal Prison
Consultants as it pertains to my case. I live in the state of Missouri and when I was
sentenced to 63 months for 1 count of Wire Fraud I consulted with the personnel at
Federal Prison Consultants to help me through the process of my prison time. They have been
very beneficial to me in the aspect of helping me with my medical issues and hopefully
accomplishing even more with time. I have had them file formal requests for me on my
behalf. I would highly recommend this firm for future use when you get into the situation
of having to do Prison time in the BOP system.
Thank You,

I firmly disagree with the Ripoff Report on Federal Prison Experts, Ed Bales and Joe Gunja. This is a very reputable company and well respected nationwide. Anyone who does their proper research will see many news articles and videos in which major network TV stations have requested opinions and done in depth interviews with Mr. Bales; particularly and recently, the Bernie Madoff Matter.
I, myself, hired Federal Prison Experts to do some work on behalf of my fiance`, who is in federal prison. Mr. Bales kept in constant contact with me and updated me with each step he took. I was copied with all emails and reports that were filed on behalf of my fiance`. I would definitely recommend this company to anyone who requires any of the services the company has to offer.
I sincerely believe that the person who wrote this false report only did so because they were not successful in obtaining the result that they were looking for. I think they were angry and retaliated in the only way they knew how. Since I work for an attorney, I know that when doing the kind of work that Federal Prison Experts does, there is a code of ethics which they must operate by and within that code is a rule that there can be no promises or guarantees made regarding the outcome of the specific matter at hand.
It's sad that this person felt compelled to slam such a reputable company as Mr. Bales' company. I hope that others who are researching him and his company do a THOROUGH search in order that they see all the positive work they have done, as well as all the interviews they have done nationwide.
Thank you,
D Stephens

This report is completely false, and without any merit. I am Joe Gunja, who is retired BOP Executive, who was a warden at three facilities and Regional Director, attaining my membership in the Senior Executive Service (SES). I am the Executive Director of Federal Prison Experts, and am proud to be associated with a firm that advocates the rights of inmates and their families during times of need, many times when they have nobody in their corner.
I would never have been associated with a company that is dishonest or a fraud. Every person who is either an employee or consultant, including our President Ed Bales, works hard in every case, and we have a high success rate. As in any consulting or legal business profession, there are times we cannot be completely successful, but that is not from a lack of effort. This is the same as any attorney, who cannot always guarantee the outcome of any case.
I take the comment about me and my other business, SIMCO Correctional Consulting, and the comments about "what if his former employer knows what he is doing" as harrassment and slander, and I must now take this as a personal attack, and am seeking civil action against the person who wrote this report, which I must say again has NO merit.
