lenders beware. i am a licensed locksmith and i was called by a lender to make a key for a vehicle that this company had repossessed. i tried
for a week to get up with the owner, eddie stewart with the number they gave me but he would not return my calls. when i arrived at the lot it
was made clear to me that he did not want me there and he had a locksmith that his company used. we basically had a discussion about how his locksmith gave him a better deal so he could add $ to it and bill his clients more for the locksmith job. then he told me that he needed some $ from me to
enter his lot. i refused to pay his gate fee and when i told him it would only take about 30 minutes to make the key he called my client and
told them i didn't know what i was doing and he wanted me off his lot. he grabbed me and pulled me from the vehicle and told me he would shoot
me if i didn't get off his lot. needless to say he lost this client.
lenders beware this guy will get you in a lawsuit. he is also probably adding on to your your locksmith bill.

so what. sounds like your making excuses for his parinoia. dosn't really appear your denying what happened. eddie and people like him are bad for the repossession industry. my repossession business has nothing to do with my locksmith business. if he didn't want me there because i also have a successfull repossession business then he should have told that to me on the phone or the lienholder. he certainly has a right to not have anyone come to his lot but he showed his true colors by communicating threats and man handeling me out his gate. this industry has enough repo rambos and lizard lick wanna bes. we service our clients through proffessional standards with communication and complience within the scope of the CFPB. of course the real issue here is that when repo companies call me to amke a key then you can't.

I am the locksnith that provides services to Eddie at Final Notice, which we have been doing for several years. I spoke to Eddie when this incident occurred. He refused to have a competitor in the repo business, who also happens to be a locksmith, come onto his lot and perform work, which is totally his choice. I think you forgot to mention that you were also a repo man when you wrote this.
Eddie has never asked us for a gate fee to come onto his lot and do work. That just sounds like a really wierd statement. I have never heard anyone form any company ever request something like that.
It also sounds a little strange to me that you say he told you to leave and threatened to shoot you, but then pulled you from your vehicle. Why would he pull you from your vehicel if he wanted you to leave??
I just want other companies out there to know that Eddie is a great person to work with. He seems to be able to find vehicles that other people can not locate. He is very professional in the work that he does, and I want you to understand that we also use to own a repo company.
I think maybe this person was just upset that Eddie didn't want a competitor on his lot checking out who he was doing work for.
