6/20/16- Called fahw.com to service our 24 yr old CAC as it is not blowing cool air. Sent a contractor (seabreez a/c and heating, inc). Checked the unit system, furnace, thermostat, and fuse box; and stated no leak and seems to be that system is fine. He started checking the electrical wires, did some test with his equipment and wiggled/twisted /pulled the electrical wires attached to furnace. Contractor  informed he would submit a report to fahw and handed me an invoice that indicate 24V line broken inside wall. I have to call the insurance tthe next day to find out the status of the claim and I  as told it was denied. due to acces that is not covered. I have not received a report from insurance company. I have to call several times as I was on hold for more than 30 minutes. When I finally got a live person to talk to, I was again told it was denied due to report submitted that someone physically damaged the wire fom condenser to the furnace and that contractor needs access to open a wall which is not covered. When I contacted the contractor, I was told that they submitted an estimate cost to fahw of $220 to replace the 24V lne from condenser to the the furnace without opening wall and insurance warranty would still not covered. While talking to their customer service agent of my concerns and frustrations of what is being communicated to me, the insurance offered me second opinion free of charge from one of their contractors and was doing a search who would they send and would call me back  within a few hours that day. No one called back. I have to call back the following day and spoke to another agent who informed that they will not be sending another contractor for second opinion that it was a mistake what the other agent had told me. I requested to speak to a supervisor /manager and explained the situation and told him that our CAC is 24 yrs, old that it might need to be replaced that a second opinion will be helpful. The manager told me I have to hire a contractor on my own and to submiit a report to them to determine if it will be covered and it is not guaranteed. It's been a horrible experience with customer service that I waited 45-1 hour each time I call ed before  you can talk to a live person. I do not recommend this warranty insurance and cancelling my plan.
