I first contacted Greg Lara of Fitness Dynamics in early May regarding some used MedX Core Spinal Fitness equipment he was selling. I am a Physical Therapist and was buying equipment for a second clinic I was opening. After going back and forth for a few weeks, I was ready to buy. We agreed on a price of $21950, which included delivery and set-up, when he was originally asking $23000. He was adamant that I put $5000 down until I secured my financing which I did. A few weeks later, with regular communication about status of funding, I was ready to buy the equipment. I figured 50% down and the other 50% upon delivery, but he wanted it all up front and he also decided he wanted the full $23000. Against my better judgement, I paid him. There was not a lot of other choices of equipment and he had a matching set. The day I deposited the money we discussed delivery dates and he decided he would deliver on Monday July 7th. I took myself off the schedule that day so I could be at the new clinic for delivery. A few days before, during the long 4th of July holiday, I decided to email him to confirm our delivery. He eventually got back to me stating he wasn’t, in fact, coming because he just got back from a pick-up. I was not very happy considering he left me without a schedule Monday morning which meant a loss of income. I eventually got him on the phone and his excuse for not letting me know he wasn’t coming was because he was driving. Apparently when driving from Minnesota to Southern California you don’t need to stop at any point. He then told me he would get back to me on Thursday July 10th with a new delivery date. I eventually emailed him Friday the 11th because I had not heard from him and he emailed me that evening and stated he was leaving the following Wednesday July 16th. On July 15th I again emailed him again for confirmation and he emailed me back the next day stating he would be now leaving Friday or Saturday instead. So now I call him Friday to find out when he is arriving so I can make arrangements to be there and he states he will be there Monday now. Monday was a very busy day for me and I was not going to be able to be at the clinic that day and suggested Tuesday might be better. He said that was fine, he would be there Tuesday afternoon and he would call me 4 hours out. Once again, I scheduled myself out to be there and he sends me an email Tuesday morning stating he would now be coming Friday or Saturday, instead. I, once again, email him Friday to find out when he is leaving and don’t hear back from him so I call Saturday morning. He tells me he won’t be able to leave again for 3-4 days. At this point, I am at my wits end. I am convinced that he doesn’t actually have my equipment and will keep stringing me along for God knows how long. I decide to provide an ultimatum. Either he brings me my equipment by the next Thursday or I start posting a review of this experience on every website I can think of. I also tell him that if he just decides to send me my money back, I will still post reviews. I only want my equipment. It has now been seven weeks since I paid him $23000 for my equipment and he has changed his delivery date 6 times. I have a new clinic that I am trying to open and have pleaded with him to please bring me my equipment as it is stalling my progress. He now tells me if I post a review not only will he not bring me my equipment but he won’t give me my money back. Finally I decide to just request a full refund and outline the reasons why. A few days later he emails me and guarantees he will leave by August 7th for my delivery or he will refund me. A few days later he sends me another email telling me he has “acquired” the equipment and is still on schedule. So it appears that the six times he told me he was coming, he didn’t even have the equipment acquired and blatantly lied to me. The best part is he didn’t even leave on the 7th for my location, he left on the 8th. I finally got my equipment delivered 5 weeks after he initially said he was coming and 2 months after I paid him. I had also requested a refund $700 for the lost income I had the first day he didn’t show and I had taken myself off the schedule. In reality it should be much more than that considering he left me without a schedule on two occasions and delayed the opening of my new clinic by weeks. Of course I have not received any refund and don’t expect too. He is also very condescending and rude and was this way with my staff on the day he finally delivered. I would strongly recommend you avoid doing business with Greg Lara. Search Angies List and you will find other reviews similar to mine. If you are really in need of MedX equipment, you can buy MedX type machines from regenerationequipment.com brand new and have them delivered in 12 weeks. I wish I would have known this before ordering from Greg.

Unfortunaly Greg must have forgotten that I have kept every email communication we have had since the very beginning otherwise he may have wanted to change his rebuttal a little. It is true that he told me he was acting as a broker in this deal and the machines were in Arizona. From the beginning he told me he had a potential buyer in Costa Rica but was waiting on this person to make up their mind. I inquired about the machines and he sent me pictures. On May 9th I told him I was still thinking about it since I still had not locked down my lease on my new space or secure my line of credit with the credit union. A week late he contacted me about what I wanted to do. See a copy of the emails.

On June 1st Greg sent me an email stating they would take a $5000 deposit on the equipment to hold them for me. I deposited the money 2 days later, not weeks later.

Trust me when I say I hope so. Chance we sign financial documents today. If so I will deposit tomorrow. The bank seems to be operating at its own pace.

Greg received the final payment on June 13th of which I have a receipt. On the day I made payment, he told me he was going to deliver the machines on July 7th. Of course you know the rest of the story. He never once said anything about this apparent Wisconsin pick-up. I have copies of the emails where he is telling me of the various dates he will be coming and of course, never shows up. He also seems to be caught up with what MedX told me. Apparently he doesn't realize I wasn't doing business with MedX; I was doing business with Greg Lara of Fitness Dynamics who told me on the day he received payment that he would be there 3 weeks later. I also have copies of emails where I am pleading with him to please just bring me the equipment as I am trying to open a new clinic and this delay in delivery is delaying the opening of my business. That didn't help. He delivered the equipment when it was best for him, not the consumer. Oh, and once he found out about the initial review I posted, he threatened to sue me for slander. He even posted an unprofessional review of me as the consumer on Ripoff report. All I can say is if you decide to do business with this man, make sure you don't pay upfront. And make sure time is not an issue for you because whatever he tells you is more than likely a lie. Just like he lied in this rebuttal. I am glad I kept a copy of all the emails. Here is one last email where he tells me for the second time now he is coming.

The Medx manufacturer told Mr Marquis that it would take them 6 months to deliver a machine.
Regeneration however, when they have machines and because of their one contract shipper, take 4 - 6 months to deliver machine.

Mr Marquis contacted me while searching for a set of Medx Core machines for his clinic.
He had contacted the manufacturer and another supplier and was told of a 6 and 4 month delivery time respectively and that only after the Medx machines had been paid for in full.
Mr Marquis then contacted my company and asked for a set of Core Medx machines. I informed him that we had a set of four core Medx machines that we were selling on behalf of another client, therefore we were acting as a broker, and would be representing the seller. I gave him the price for all four machines and he came back with a counter offer. I presented his price to the seller who accepted his offer.
After informing Mr Marquis that his offer had been excepted by my client, Marquis then told me that he had no funds. So I then contacted the seller who told me that he had since been contacted by another doctor who was very interested in his Medx Machines. My seller then asked me to talk to Marquis and let him know that there were others also interested in buying his Medx machines and to tell him that if he was serious in his purchase offer then he could put down a non refundable 5000.00 deposit. Mr Marquis did in fact pay the non refundable deposit two weeks later.
Once Mr Marquis had paid the deposit he asked me for a for a specific delivery date. I explained that because he did not come up with the down-payment for the machines when he said he would (there was a 2 week delay in receiving these funds) the delivery parameters had changed and that I had a prior Medx delivery in Wisconsin scheduled and also consolidation of shipping other Medx machines to Southern California. Mr Marquis said that he understood that and that it was fine. His final funding came through approximately 10 days after the initial deposit.
In the mean time, as a direct result of all of the delays in the funding of the deposit and the further delays in the finding the remaining funds for the Medx machines, Doctor Foster, who was selling the machines, was worrying that the whole deal was taking so long and that it in fact he was worrying that in all probability it was not going to be finalized. So he had begun to use the machines in his clinic and several of his patients had begun a course of treatment on the Medx Core Lumbar machine.
Dr Foster said that he may be willing to still sell the machines but it would have to be at a higher price and he would now have to keep his Medx Core Lumbar Back as he had patients using it for treatment.
Dr Foster was in fact being very fair and I ended up paying the extra $1000 for the machines and also did a partial trade for another Medx Core Lumbar machine that I had in my warehouse. Mr Marquis was not aware that his delays in getting the funds to the seller for the machines actually cost my company directly another $2000.
Once the financial arrangements were all taken care of I then sent an email to Mr Marquis with a delivery date for his Medx Machines and let him know that we were on our way. He emailed me back telling me that he would not be there as he was out of town so he postponed the delivery. The delivery of the 4 Medx Core Machines was rescheduled for a date when he was expected to be back in town.
We delivered the four Medx Core machines to Mr Marquis at his location four and a half weeks after the seller was paid with the funds that Mr Marquis sent to us.
The delivery went great and his assistant greeted us and helped to secure the doors. The facility had easy access, between myself and my two assistants we put in place Four Medx Core machines that were in virtually brand new condition. You can see pictures of the installation of the machines here on my companies website.
Mr. Marquis did show up for about three minutes to view the machines, confirmed that they were fine and that we should go ahead with the installation.
Once the installation had been completed I showed his, very helpful, assistant the different Medx machines, and went through the different functions with her. She said she could not wait to start using the Medx machines with their clients. I thanked her. cleaned up, closed the doors and continued on to our other pickups.
I was very surprised to find that Mr Marquis had posted a complaint about my company on this website and since this incident have taken steps to state very clearly in our Terms and Warranty information that our Standard Delivery is 6 - 8 Weeks for all machines unless specified differently by the owner of Fitness Dynamics.
Mr Marquis actually received his Medx machines in just under 4.5 weeks after the final payment was received for the machines. I was ready to deliver the machines at about 4 weeks but then Mr Marquis delayed the delivery time by several days. But his wait time from the other suppliers would have been at least 4 months.
