Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I took my truck to five points to get the two major things done repair my transmission and to fix the catalytic converter after dropping it off on September 19 and picking it up around 1 December then I had to return it on four different occasions to get work that wasn’t done right or broke down and then was not able to get truck inspected which was main reason for dropping off because the check engine light kept coming on he claimed it was a EGR valve which runs replaced find me on January 5 three months and 14 days later I finally was able to get my truck inspected after going to the inspection station for different times and honestly I believe the gentleman just passed me but the truck getting at one point he sent me to a Nother county after I picked up the truck set if you can if you can’t get it inspected here clover there they will do an inspection for you.

though after taking two hours off to run over to that location and then come back and then go down to register my truck and get the tags I was informed by the motor vehicle registration that that inspection was no good in this county due to remissions so he knowingly sent me on a wild goose chase waste of money and time so then last week they transmission which he Rebuilt it broke down so I had to have the truck towed back to his place I have not rented a car for eight days and I told him that I wasn’t going to pay the total bill nor should I be responsible for the rental car because it was something that they had done in that and get it fixed right the first time.

well I called him yesterday to ask him how it was going he said it was fixed the EGR valve light didn’t come on but yet the catalytic converter like come on out and mail the check engine light is on so the whole time he at the truck he said it was the EGR valve well after speaking with him yesterday now it’s the catalytic converter that needs to be replaced which I told him at the very beginning of the start of this so next year when I go to get my annual inspection I’m going to have to replace the catalytic converter that magically all of a sudden started going bad which I knew was bad from the get go out so he informed me that he wasn’t going to pay for the tow bill he was in and pay for the Rent-A-Car and expected me to pay the 600 additional dollars on top of numerous hours of running around trying to get this.

he didn’t seem to care that he sent me on a wild goose chase and a waste of money on an inspection that was no good he didn’t seem to think my time was worth anything he didn’t seem to think that the over 20 hours I spent waiting renting cars driving around to place to be told it would not pass having to pay people to pick me up and take me over there because I had to return the vehicle five or six times for additional work he didn’t think any of that was I guess any value to me he values his time at $85 an hour yet my 20 to 30 hours spending running around for no reason was not valuable I guess in his eyes so after spending $15,000 to have quite a bit of work done I leave with no catalytic converter and a Nother rebuild transmission that crew knows if it will last one month to month six months or year because the first one sh*t the bed after a month and a half so the two major things I has to be done and my Pinyan heart done can you let spent all this money and then he informed me if you want to meet to replace the catalytic converter that he would need cash upfront.

I have never paid for an auto repair before hand and he had no problem taking my checks on the first $15,000 I paid and now you expect me to pay cash upfront and that a fire wrote him a check he would have to hold my vehicle until the check cleared so basically he doesn’t value your time because you’re a liar he went six months past what he said he would do about getting the truck ready and prepared I had to pay extra rent and car the whole time yet none of this was any concern to him her number this he figured it was his fault all the cost to be absorbed by me so I happily told him that no thank you I don’t want you doing any more work on my truck and to top that off the brake work he did well my ABS light is on and the brakes already feeling soft with my ABS light is never come on since I owned the truck till now I’m having to take to another mechanic I guess and give him a list everything that was supposedly repaired to see exactly what he did or did not do so I would stay far away from this individual as he will not value your time he will not value anything of yours all they will value is it collecting your money.

Since my last report my transmission has fallen out ..!they did take it in and repair it which took a week in which i had to rent a car for $350! When I asked for some restitution on the 350 I was told we don’t do that since then we are now 4 1/2 five weeks later and the transmission is about to fall out again on it and so I have called and told them that it is about falling out and are they going to honor the warranty and because I subtracted $200 from the bill to help pay for half of the rental car which I should’ve not having to be paid for if they would’ve done the transmission right the first time I would’ve not have to Paid 350 rent a car. so now they are really wanting to tell me I have to pay the 200 and something I held out before they will take the truck in. so it looks like we will be going to court. so watch what you do when it comes to five points truck and car repair in Weatherford Texas run by one Ross Danner

This is what really happened. The last time you brought vehicle in I got the EGR valve squared away. Problem solved. Which was multiple wiring issues on vehicle side plus a bad part from stock. Then you took vehicle. Had hard time getting inspected because the monitors wouldn't set. Then they finally did and you got it inspected. Then light came back on and that was for the catalytic converters. Which need to be replaced. The money you paid got used to pay for all the additional labor required to fix all the wiring issues that were not included in the original quote. For example: Broken wire in transmission harness Chafed wire in transmission harness Spring contacts in transmission range sensor connector Spring contacts in pcm connector Spring contacts in EGR valve connector Spring contacts for EGR valve on PCM connector Spare tire winch These additional labor items ate up the money for the cats and then some. I had to get these items addressed so we could move on to the catalytic converters. This has now been accomplished. Now the catalytic converters need to be replaced and that should take of the remaining issue. I had contacted you multiple times with no answer I left you messages trying to get you in to get the cats done and sent you texts stating this with no response. I was and still am concerned with the vehicle and getting it squared away. I don't like that you're not satisfied and would like to get this ironed out if you're game. I think it's shame being so close to getting it finished to stop at the last issue. Just so you know I don't like working things out on Facebook or social media. This is why I had called you to talk about this and you told me you were too busy at the time and would call later which never happened. As far as parts mark up. It's industry standard To mark up parts and most shops mark up parts far more than I do. Most of the time they mark up 90-100%. I'm nowhere near that. I know The transmission failed prematurely which was unfortunate but things happen that are out of your control. I spoke to the guy at the transmission shop I've got all the parts that failed it was nothing that he did wrong he said he would've taken the blame if he had done anything wrong. it was a bearing that failed and things like this happen from time to time unfortunately and it's out of his and my control. just a heads up when the transmissions rebuilt if there are good components within the transmission that are usable and not damaged they are inspected and reused and not replaced so if that part happens to fail because it's had many miles on it then it's unfortunate but it happens because that's what rebuilding the transmission is you inspect the parts that are inside the transmission if they're good they get reused if there are normal wear and tare part they get replaced from what I've been told. Kind of off topic but just so you know that bed you sold me fell apart on me in the middle of the night when I had company over and dumped me and my guest on the floor but I didn't get on Facebook and say anything. I went and bought t brackets and screwed it together and made it work. I know that you told me I might want to go get brackets to screw it together but you also said in the same breath that you don't have to. I think this could've all been avoided had we just talked instead. For the record I did call you and ask you to call me and you never called me back. I also sent you a text asking the same and you said you were too busy. I'm not an unreasonable person and think I did right by you by loaning you my car two times and letting you leave with an outstanding balance which no shop that I'm aware of would allow. I'm more than willing to discuss this and figure a way to work it out. This was the whole intent of talking to you on the phone or in person about this situation . If you have any questions please feel free to call or email me. Best Regards
