Upon trading in my E320 for a new C-class, negotiations stalled when I felt my trade in was seriously undervalued (8K). When I got up to leave, I was offered an unusual offer... trade in my car and be credited 8K, but be given 45 days to sell my car (it would be left at the dealership however), and have the dealership pay my first month's lease payment.

When I arrived at the dealership to show the car to a perspective buyer, I was informed it had already been sold. They claim the arrangement was 14 and not 45 days. Interesting that when I called to arrange to show the car at different times, this was never mentioned...

I protested and found myself face to face with Cush King (could that be his real name?) who promptly told me my business didn't matter. At one point, he actually said "we're Fletcher Jones and we have plenty of money".

In the end, I was sent home short at least $2500. They gave me 8k for the car, and it was listed by me at $10,999 with five hot leads. Pretty easy math.

This was a clear abandonment of an agreement cleverly disguised by a hurried signature process with little to no explaination. Clever. Rush through a complicated arrangement verbally (ie we keep your car, you sell it, etc), then bury fine print in a mountain of traditional paperwork (ie DMV forms).

Such cheap used car wheeler dealer tricks from a high end mercedes dealership. Just proves you can lie over an Evian bottle just as easily as a cheap cigar.
