Enclosed are All reports to FDACS, by public:
re: www.mugshots.com (mugshot websites). This office (FDACS) has been Usless in  giving information about who runs and operates a business that appears in their state. Like all the other State and Federal agencies, they give the public the run around when it comes to Public FOIA. Yet a  Rouge Website that is not transparent can continue to exist, without State or Federal Investigateion. To be allowed to continuing to shift around using Canadian "Authorized" Vendors, asking for credit card information to remove booking information, that the site has chosen to place on the internet; optimizing to a persons name; using unfair and deceptive business practices; victimizing and violating somone that has been arrested; ruining chances of a fair trial; Herding people into "Good behavior", by embarassment; hiding behind the first amendment, while lacking in their own transparency. yet they have linked to Intellius and can get to to a booked persons front door and ask for comments about the person?

A question that arises is: the reason for No investigation being done on this entity, is it because the site www.mugshots.com is corrections affiliated (state run)? In that case aren't the Tax payers entitled to know where their tax money is going. Trust in the government  (State and Federal) is at an all time low.  The lack of an investigation into this site, to disclose it's real business operators, due to so many complaints, is not helping voter confidence.  If it is a private entity, are not the people being posted entitled to know the facts about their posters and where they are sending their money to get removed?

WHO IS WWW.MUGSHOTS.COM? Where are the DBA's for each of the 50 States in USA Located?They are defunct in Del. (just call).  Why is the FTC, Florida DA, NY DA, BBBFL and every State they are listed in unable to answer this questions. If these agencies can't investigate a website that is doing business with thousands of complaints, how can these agencies be trusted to do the other tasks we leave in their hands.. How come they have NO answer? Why has not this www.mugshots.com been revealed? Why are they allowed privacy protection? Why are the Government and State Agencies giving people that are sending in complaints a run about.?


And why can't anyone answer these questions?

The website, Mugshots.com has a picture of my mugshot from a crime committed back in 2003 on their site which is
search-able in Google & Bing search engines under my name. This information is a public record, however, they are
using blackmail and saying if I pay them $499, they will take my listing down.
This is ruining my reputation as I was charged for this crime when I was very young and have not gotten into any trouble
since. This posting can jeopardize my career and reputation and I would like it taken down immediately. I cant see how
this can be legal for anyone on the site and I need help proving that this is against the law and finding justice.

We reviewed the above complaint and it appears the company is based out of Flagler Beach, FL.  Even so, the consumer paid a third-party vendor to have her name removed from their database and her name has been removed.  On her complaint form she wrote:

She did not complain about the third-party vendor that she paid (based in Denver, Colorado).  It seems the purpose in filing this complaint is to stop http://www.mugshots.com/ from publishing photos and requiring consumers to pay a fee to someone to get it removed.   Perhaps the Office of Attorney General would be the preferred venue to file this complaint.  We are unable to assist this consumer due to lack of jurisdiction.

I was able to remove my outdated misdemeanor arrest from floridaarrest.com for free and mugshots.com does not
provide the option, instead mugshots.com extorts people by not posting a removal option for outdated information and
makes them pay a company $399.99 to remove the arrestee's pic and personal information. Mugshots.com in turn takes
a kick-back from the paid company. This is OUTRIGHT extortion. They attempt to hide behind the 1st amendment, but
use outdated information and they do not update their site to adhere to the standards of teh 1st amendment; thus violating
my 4th amendment rights. They do not provide any contact information and do not reply to concerns sent to them.
