Complaint Review: Florida Technical College - Orlando Florida

I went to pick up my check today, which was suppose to be for $506 but  instead they made it out for $169. I questioned why the difference, well had to go see Gary in financial aid, which he had no clue why the difference. He went to check and he turned me over to his supervisor. Well I now have to take classes until September which includes me going on externship the end of August. They didn't apply the credits from my previous earned credits for 4 classes like Dr. Bareto had previously told me and he also told me that I would graduate in June, by Dr. Bareto
himself, ANOTHER LIE! I was originally told that I had to take cardiology, pharmacology/lab procedures. I now have to take in addition to that, Health care information processing, medical insurance and the lab procedure, which is now a separate class from what they told me.

She told me I will be paying an additional $10,000 on top of my current tuition of $11054. This is BULL s**t!! They weren't even going to tell me of these changes if I hadn't questioned the amount of my check! So now they managed to find a way to get more money out of me and screw me over. I'm sorry I ever went back to school. I don't even want to go to school tomorrow or even have any desire to finish. I don't see why I have to take medical insurance and learn how to submit claims and learn the icd 9 codes, and the health care information processing is basically like billing and coding, but they won't apply my credits from when I took billing and coding, they said I need to take them again since the codes etc. has changed. MA's don't do any billing or claims in the office or hospitals.

I was told I have to fill out a new FAFSA for 2012-2013 and fill out the application on the www.imagine-america.org site and as long as I graduate then the school will get $1000 and they're suppose to deduct that money from my tuition. At this rate I seriously doubt they'll do it and I don't TRUST THEM AT ALL!!

Dr. Bareto had his hand in having this changed to punish me for questioning them illegally submitting a deferment on my current Sallie Mae loan and illegally changing my current FAFSA 3 times without my knowledge, but
they must have forgotten that FAFSA and Sallie Mae send me notification
of these changes.

Now Dr. Bareto expects all students to be professional when he can't even be professional himself. He purposely ignores me and won't answer my questions at all, heck he won't even make eye contact, but he has to know that what the school did was illegal.  They keep firing those that even question their ways of doing things and especially if they tell them that's illegal they get fired on the spot and escorted out of the building. Dr. Bareto is definitely not
professional by any means. He's a fat pig that cheats on his wife and doesn't care who sees another woman rubbing his chest in his office.
Yep you read that right too, I took a double take as I passed his office and I couldn't believe what I saw her doing to him. That was so unprofessional and inappropriate. He has no clue that I saw him, and he knew that Dr. Rivera, his wife was gone for the day. I wish I had my cell phone on me cause I would have taken a picture and he wouldn't have
even know that I took it. So FTC SUCKS BIG TIME, and I hope the Feds shut them down permanently and soon. Thanks for listening, just very pissed, frustrated and tired of being treated like dirt at that school.
The Hispanic are treated like their God and the Caucasians are the low lifes and treated that way too.

These new owners are CROOKS!
They are 10 times worse than the previous owners. So apparently all my financial papers that I signed are no longer valid according to them and they expect me to sign all new ones, not happening. They need to honor my original ones, you'd think that they would want to be in a hurry to get me out of their school so I won't cause more trouble. Well trouble  will be coming their way sooner than they think. They are quick to demand money from you if you owe on your loan, heck they recently kicked out a student who owed them .75 cents, yep you read that one right. Told her
not to come back until she pays it.

Do yourselves a favor all that read this and look at a more reputable school that the credits do transfer. They will lie about that and say the credits are good. Go as UCF or Valencia if they will take them, they will not!
