I decided to order flowers for my Mother on December 9th. I found the Flowers by Chazz and their site through Teleflora. I had a promotional code for Teleflora.com so I decided to make my order through flowersbychazz.com which was linked to Teleflora. Once I placed my order, gave my billing information and inserted my promo code into the provided space I got my total 36.70 and checked out.
I then received a confirmation e-mail from
[email protected] which added up my totals Price:35$ , Delivery: 7.99 Discount: 10.00 Tax 3.71 and Total 36.70. This was correct.
When I checked my bank account transactions about 1 week later I noticed the flower transaction was for 46.70 instead of 36.70. I decided to send an e-mail to Flowers by Chazz on December 14th. When I had not yet received a response on the 15th I called first Teleflora who directed me to speak to Flowers by Chazz. I spoke to a woman in the morning who said she would look into the problem and get back to me in the afternoon. At 4pm after not receiving a call back I called again. I this time spoke to Chazz (The owner).
As I kept trying to explain the situation to him he kept telling me that they did not use promo codes. I tried to explain that since his site to order was through Teleflora and the checkout was through Teleflora I used the Teleflora promo code which the site allowed me to use and even had a box specified for promo code. I explained that I had also already called teleflora and they told me that only Flowers by Chazz had the records for my transaction and I would have to discuss my problem with Flowers by Chazz and not them.
He kept repeating "We do not use promo codes" and as I started again (Trying to calmly and politely explain) He screamed very loudly "We don't use promo codes" and hung up on me. I called back and told him how rude I thought he was and told him if we did not resolve the situation I would contact proper authorities and the BBB to which he replied "Go ahead, Good luck getting your F***ing ten dollars back" and again hung up.
I was appaled at this reaction! I have never been treated so rudely by any bussiness I have ever dealt with! I called back again and got a woman who would not put the owner back on and said she would check into it and get back to me tommorow (The 16th). I have yet to receive a call back.
I have since contacted my bank to handle the situation (I have proof in the form of a recipt page and e-mailed confirmation) so they said they will be able to handle it but I want to warn others in dealing with this Florist "Flowers by Chazz" in Islip Ny, if you do, check your credit/debit cards to be sure you were charged the proper amount. I know alot of people do not check their transactions and it could be costing you money. It may have been only 10 dollars but that can add up and when you pay for something , you expect to be paying what your receipt tells you that you will be paying!
At first I thought it was just a mistake but after the response I received when trying to correct the problem, I'm not sure it was just a mistake!
