Talk about questionable. Search long and hard as I have, it is near to impossible to track either companies from the information they provided. They first came to my attention from a Columbus Craigslist Ad posted on May 24, 2008. It was titled: Bet & Venue Sponsors Hosting this years Fashion Expo 08 in Columbus.

It asked for a wide range of models, men+women 18-35. Upon responding with photos an email was sent from "Sara Fox" asking for my contact information. After sending this I did not hear from the company. A month later, the 4th week of June, 2008 I recieved a call from "Calvin Brown" from Fox Promotions. He gave me specific dates and a name of the event, International Model Expo 2008.

He said there was an application fee, $20 and models with exclusive contracts could have this fee waived. My instructions from there was to go to www.foxpromo.info and send in a package to Global Marketing Foundation. Fox Promotions was supposed to "only" find models for the Global Marketing Foundation which were "co-sponsors" of the event.

I was instructed to send in $20 by Money Order or Cashiers Check, a photo ID copy, 2 photos of ANY kind, and the application. The application itself asked what agency you are with, what job you currently have, if you've ever been convicted of a crime, and if you've ever filed for bankrupcy, etc. I was instructed it must be sent in by Monday June 30th or else it would be sent back. I was told I would be call and emailed, and told the place where the event was after my package was recieved.

After doing so, I could not get a hold of "Calvin Brown" or "Sara Fox". I left messages, calling until the numbers stopped working altogether. I found another website www.foxpromotions.info with a completely different contact address than the one that is on www.foxpromo.info. I have yet to find a valid phone number for their sponsor Global Marketing Foundation which was supposed to be located in New York as of July 2008. My package was signed for by someone named "S amm". Now if you add a "C" in between that becomes "Scamm" but I didnt want to make this connection.

For me it isnt about a lousy $20, its the fact that this company has personal information of mine and went missing in action. I cant find Any hotel in Columbus having a Fashion Expo, and as of today July 9th, 2008 I have not been contacted by anyone. There were times when www.foxpromo.info did not even show up as existing website when I typed it in. As of today both sites, foxpromo and foxpromotions are up. But where are they and if their address does not exist then how did "S amm" sign for my package?

For the two hardest companies to reach, according to their webpage Fox Promotions is a "full service, national modeling agency, staffing experienced promotional models..." The founder mentioned in the About Us section is "Sara Baker". I will however continue on my quest to find anyone who knows ANYTHING about the credibility of these two companies that as of today July 9th, 2008 do not seem to have anyone to speak for or against them, except myself.
