I want to first start off by saying that going out to the Fox River Resort on January 3rd 2013 was a total disaster. My husband and i got a call stating that we had won 1 out of for prizes a car, 49,000 a trip or $500 now of course that sounds good. But you have the back of your mind telling you this doesnt sound right. So we went out there and we took a tour of the place and after the tour we sat down with the sales rep, she started asking us about vacations and how often do we take them so to make a long story short, they made everything sound so good and we were convinced into to thinking that we will be purchasing a deed for a vacation home for our famil so we put a deposit down and i gave them a voided check.
Now when any situation is dealing with your money you are going to ask more questions, the main question was if we wanted to cancel what do we do. Me and my husband were told that we have 5 days to cancel. That night when we arived home i started reading over the contract and what i was reading didnt sound right or fare because if you are spending your hard earned money on something that is supposed to be yours yeah right what they tell you, you cant stay whenever you want.
So i called them the next morning which was January 4th 2013 and told them we wanted to cancel and they told me to bring in the book that they gave us so we like ok cool on monday we can ride out there give their items and get a refund. now on sunday January 6th my husband get a call from one of the sales representative saying dont worry about taking that long drive out instead you or your husband need to write a letter stating why we want to cancel so i did... i fax the letter. We were calling and calling to see if they recieved the fax no one was available to speak with us we were told that they were with owners and will return our call.
That day goes by now its Monday January 7th we call and were told due to the severe weather they are closed for the day so we like wow, we called the next day Tuesday January 8th the same thing there closed. So wednesday January 9th early we get a call asking did we fax over the papers so we new right then it was about to be some bull crap. Um yes we did on sunday... well we didnt get it so they told us to just email it and i did and they received it. So you know what that mean by that time it was too late because the deadline was up. Now we are going back and forwards with these people. We just want to cancel the contract and get our refund you cant force someone in to buying something when all the time you were being tricked saying you won a prize. SCAM!!!

wow I work for silverleaf never knew people were being scamed into this company.however I think you should ,ake a way to court or file some kind of chapter,up under the state law. explaining that you can't pay .very sorry I send my prayers out to you.

I'm sorry i put year 2013 in my first report about the Fox River Resort it was this year 2014. the year is still fresh..
